NFL pass-rusher rankings ahead of Week 5

  • Micah Parsons’ standout revenge game vaults him to No. 1: Parsons produced 10 quarterback pressures against the Cowboys en route to a league-best 93.4 PFF pass-rush grade.
  • Abdul Carter is living up to expectations early: The No. 3 overall pick dominated the Chargers’ offensive line in Week 4, generating a league-leading five quarterback hits and ranking in the top five in total pressures (eight) and PFF pass-rush grade (92.1).

Estimated Reading Time: 5 minutes

We know that quarterback is the most important position on the field, but a great pass rush is the ultimate equalizer. Pressure disrupts timing, rhythm and accuracy, something only the elite quarterbacks can consistently overcome.

Last season, 13 of the top 15 teams in PFF pass-rush grade had a winning record. In 2023, 15 of the top 16 teams in PFF pass-rush grade had a winning record. A dominant pass-rush is undeniably crucial to a team’s success over the course of the season.

Each week, after every NFL game is graded and reviewed, PFF will check in on the top pass rushers of the 2025 season. These rankings will drastically change over the first few weeks, as one sack, hit or pressure can dramatically alter a player’s grade when the sample size is small. But as snap counts rise, the grades will stabilize, and we’ll get a clearer picture of the league’s best pass rushers.

Here are the top 32 pass-rushers for the 2025 season after Week 4. For more grades and statistics on the league’s best pass-rushers, check out PFF Premium Stats.

Week 4 Highlights

Best Pass Rusher: Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers

Parsons dominated in his highly anticipated return to Dallas, earning a league-best 93.4 PFF pass-rush grade for the week. The grade was the second-best single-game figure of his career, which is noteworthy for a player who has finished each of his first four NFL seasons with elite PFF pass-rush grades of 91.6 or higher.

Most Pressures: Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers

The Packers generated 15 pressures as a team on Sunday night, 10 of which came from Parsons. The All-Pro edge defender was explosive off the snap all night, with seven of his pressures coming on wins in less than 2.5 seconds.

Highest Win Rate: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns

Garrett rushed the passer 28 times and won 14 of those reps, leading the league with a 50.0% win rate in Week 4. He continues to play at an elite level, leading a young Browns defensive line that arguably ranks as the NFL’s best right now.

Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Abdul Carter, New York Giants

Carter dominated the Chargers’ offensive line in Week 4, generating a league-leading five quarterback hits and ranking in the top five in total pressures (eight) and PFF pass-rush grade (92.1).

Season Highlights

Best Pass Rusher: Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers

Parsons’ 93.4 PFF pass-rush grade leads the league after his big game in Dallas. Since entering the NFL in 2021, he ranks second among edge rushers in PFF pass-rush grade (94.8), trailing only Myles Garrett (96.1).

Most Pressures: Will Anderson Jr., Houston Texans and Micah Parsons, Green Bay Packers

Anderson and Parsons are tied for the league lead with 25 pressures through Week 4. Anderson has generated at least four pressures in every game this season, while Parsons has been on a tear as of late, racking up 23 pressures over the past three games after having his snap count managed in the season opener.

Highest Win Rate: Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns

Garrett (34.7%) is one of three players with a 30.0% pass-rush win rate or higher through Week 4. The future Hall of Famer led the league last year in win rate (23.1%).

Best Rookie Pass Rusher: Abdul Carter, New York Giants

Carter is in a tier of his own when it comes to rookie pass-rushing production through the first month of the season. The No. 3 overall pick in this year’s draft leads all rookies with at least 50 pass-rushing snaps in PFF pass-rush grade (84.6), total pressures (19) and win rate (14.9%).
