City-Kapitän gibt kryptische Zukunfts-Aussage ab!
Bernardo Silva (31) sorgt für Wirbel bei Manchester City. Kurz vor dem Champions-League-Duell gegen seinen Ex-Klub AS Monaco am Mittwoch (21 Uhr) ließ der Portugiese die Bombe platzen: „Ich weiß genau, was ich tun werde, aber jetzt ist nicht der richtige Zeitpunkt, mich darauf zu konzentrieren. Ich werde mein Bestes geben, um den Verein wieder dorthin zu bringen, wo er hingehört.“
Der Mittelfeldspieler, der 2017 für 50 Millionen Euro von Monaco kam, steht wohl vor dem letzten Kapitel seiner City-Karriere. Sein Vertrag läuft im Sommer aus, und es mehren sich die Zeichen, dass Silva nach sechs englischen Meisterschaften, Pokalsiegen und dem Champions-League-Triumph 2023 den Skyblues den Rücken kehren könnte.
Schon länger ranken sich Gerüchte um einen Abschied. Nun stehen offenbar mehrere Top-Klubs Schlange: Sein Jugendklub Benfica Lissabon und Juventus Turin sollen interessiert sein. Dazu lockt die saudi-arabische Liga: Al-Ahli und Al-Qadsiah bieten dem Portugiesen angeblich Rekordgehälter von rund 500.000 Euro pro Woche. Für einen Spieler, der auf über 400 City-Spiele zurückblickt, ist dies eine verlockende Perspektive.
[–>Silva hat schon in der Vergangenheit die europäischen Topklubs gereizt: Paris Saint-Germain und der FC Barcelona sollen ebenfalls an ihm interessiert gewesen sein. Doch trotz aller Spekulationen bleibt er aktuell voll fokussiert auf Manchester City. „In Bezug auf meinen Vertrag konzentriere ich mich wirklich darauf, eine gute Saison zu spielen und alles zu geben, um das Team und den Klub wieder auf das Level zu bringen, das er verdient.“
Der Portugiese, nach dem Abgang von Kevin De Bruyne (34), Ederson (32) und Kyle Walker (35) der erfahrenste Spieler im Kader, bleibt ein zentraler Baustein unter Pep Guardiola (54). City will nach einer titellosen Saison wieder an die Spitze der Premier League und Europas – und Silva ist mittendrin.
Die kommenden Monate könnten die letzte große City-Episode des Offensivstars markieren. Egal, ob es ihn nach Portugal, Italien oder Saudi-Arabien zieht – die Fußballwelt darf gespannt sein. Silva könnte die nächste große City-Legende sein, die nach Jahren voller Titel ihren Abschied nimmt – ein Moment, der die Premier League und Europa bewegen würde.

Mančaft z Julisky vyhrál v nejvyšší soutěži jen 16. srpna proti Plzni, od daného momentu zaknihoval tři porážky (Sparta, Bohemians, Slavia) a dvě remízy.
