V druholigové rezervě má v aktuálním ročníku šest branek ze šesti duelů, ale posledních pět soutěžních startů si připsal za první tým Baníku. Při debutu v základu v Mladé Boleslavi dal gól po minutě na trávníku.

Pira je rodákem z Ostravy, ale doposud reprezentoval v kategoriích U17 a U18 Slovensko. Nově povýšil do tamní jednadvacítky.

„Na svůj věk je to velmi dobře stavěný útočník, hraje dobře zády k bráně a má kvalitní výběr místa. Hlavně v béčku Baníku ukázal střelecký potenciál. Teď to bude mít už trochu náročnější, protože zápasy jsou kvalitnější než ve druhé české lize,“ komentoval kouč Jaroslav Kentoš.

Koho ale bude Pira reprezentovat dále? Jakmile by v seniorské kategorii oblékl dres jednoho ze států, není cesty zpět.

„S Jakubem komunikuji, pozvání nedostal kvůli tomu, že by mohl nebo nemohl hrát za Českou republiku, ale díky své výkonnosti. Už v září byl velmi blízko. Jako trenéři uděláme maximum, aby hrál za Slovensko, ale finální rozhodnutí je na něm,“ zdůraznil Kentoš.

Jenže námluvy byly i ze strany české jednadvacítky.

„Pira je velmi zajímavý. Kdyby měl český pas, ihned bych ho nominoval. Velmi dobrá postava, držení míče i pohyb. Dostatečně rychlý. V Mladé Boleslavi ukázal kvalitní zakončení. I pro nás je zcela výjimečný a máme velký zájem, aby dostal český pas. Jakmile se to stane, a udrží si formu, budeme o něm uvažovat,“ vyřkl kouč Lvíčat Michal Bílek.

K Pirovi se vyjádřil také trenér slovenského prvního týmu Francesco Calzona. „Je to hráč, který se mi velmi líbí,“ řekl. „Umí si najít správné místo při zakončení a kdybych byl tím, který to má na starosti, tak bych udělal všechno, abych tohoto hráče udržel,“ dodal.

Jak se vše bude vyvíjet, ukáže budoucnost. Každopádně na říjnový sraz, kde Lvíčata čekají kvalifikační zápasy na Euro s Ázerbájdžánem a v Bulharsku, spoléhá Bílek na jiné ofenzivní zbraně. Premiérovou pozvánku dostal 18letý záložník a Pirův parťák z Banku Marek Havran.

„Nastoupil teď třikrát v lize a přesvědčil mě, že může v ofenzívě hodně pomoct. Je silný v soubojích jeden na jednoho, naprosto výjimečný,“ ocenil Bílek. Nechybí ani Yannick Eduardo, jenž má zase česko-nizozemský původ. Součástí jednadvacítky byl ale už v září.

„Když na tréninku ukázal, jak výborné zakončení má, spoluhráče si ihned získal. Byl velmi platný v obou zářijových duelech. Jsem rád, že má v Dordrechtu minuty, že nějakou tu branku dal. Jsem rád, že máme na hrotu konkurenci,“ uvedl Bílek, jenž má k dispozici ještě Matyáše Vojtu, Lukáše Maška nebo Matěje Mikulenku.
