Aktuálně sedmadvacátá hráčka světového žebříčku Nosková si o titul na okruhu WTA zahraje už popáté. Dosud triumfovala pouze jednou, a to vloni na pětistovce v mexickém Monterrey. Letos byla blízko úspěchu i na domácí půdě v Praze, ale finálový boj tehdy nezvládla. Její soupeřka Anisimovová má na kontě tři tituly a letos se radovala z triumfu v katarském Dauhá.
Obě hráčky se potkají potřetí. Ve Wimbledonu letos Nosková Američance podlehla až po třech setech, ale jejich první vzájemný duel v Indian Wells v roce 2023 ovládla Češka hladce 2:0.
Už postupem do semifinále si Nosková zajistila významný milník, v novém vydání žebříčku se stane českou jedničkou, když vystřídá Karolínu Muchovou. Posune se minimálně na 17. místo světa, v případě zisku titulu by mohla zamířit až na 13. místo.
