„Ich ärgere mich wahnsinnig“ – Hoeneß gibt Müller-Fehler zu

Wenn er spricht, hören alle gespannt zu …

Bayern-Macher Uli Hoeneß hat in der BR-Sendung „Blickpunkt Sport“ über die aktuellen Geschehnisse beim FC Bayern gesprochen. Die großen Themen: Das Aus von Thomas Müller in München, ein Treffer mit den Eltern von Florian Wirtz und warum ausgerechnet seine Frau ihn kritisiert.

Am 25. Februar bei der Doku-Premiere von Thomas Müller („Einer wie keiner“) hatte der Bayern-Ehrenpräsident dem Profi das Karriereende nahegelegt.

Hoeneß sagt jetzt zu diesen Aussagen: „Ich ärgere mich wahnsinnig, dass ich das gesagt habe, weil ich eigentlich dem Thomas eine Brücke bauen wollte, weil ich wusste zu dem Zeitpunkt schon, dass sein Vertrag nicht verlängert wird.“

[–>Er führt aus: „Und es wäre besser gewesen, wenn er die Entscheidung getroffen hätte und nicht der FC Bayern. Ich habe viele, viele große Spieler erlebt, die aufgehört haben. Günter Netzer, Wolfgang Overath, Franz Beckenbauer und Gerd Müller. Bei allen hat es am Ende gekracht, weil sie einfach nicht einsehen wollten, dass sie nicht mehr so gut sind, wie sie es gerne hätten.“

Laut Sportvorstand Max Eberl hätte der Klub Müller die Entscheidung erst Mitte März mitgeteilt. Am 5. April machten die Bayern schließlich offiziell, dass der auslaufende Vertrag nicht verlängert wird.

Hoeneß dazu: „Da sind Fehler von uns gemacht worden, dass man dem Thomas zu lange das Gefühl gegeben hat, dass man möglicherweise doch den Vertrag verlängert. Und als die Gespräche, die die sportliche Leitung mit ihm geführt haben, geführt wurden, da war die Entscheidung eigentlich gefallen, dass man den Vertrag nicht verlängert. Das war ja die Ausgangsposition für eine gewisse Unruhe. Thomas war darauf nicht vorbereitet und war natürlich auch sauer.“

Der Ehrenpräsident stellt klar: „Diese Entscheidung hat der gesamte Verein gemeinsam getroffen. Und es gab keinen einzigen – keinen einzigen – in den Gremien, auch im Aufsichtsrat, der eine andere Meinung hat. Es ist schlecht kommuniziert worden. Den Schuh muss man sich anziehen, ansonsten nicht.“

Hoeneß außerdem über …

… die vergangene Saison ohne Meisterschaft: „Letztes Jahr war eine absolute Katastrophe. Da sind wir ja zur Durchschnittsmannschaft geworden. Am Ende waren wir Dritter. Also das ist so das ziemlich Schlimmste, was dem FC Bayern passieren kann. Man kann also die Situation im letzten Jahr nicht mit der in diesem Jahr vergleichen. Wir müssen schon aufpassen, dass man eine deutsche Meisterschaft, die wir hoffentlich gewinnen, nicht als eine Selbstverständlichkeit sieht.“

… die vielen Verletzungen in dieser Saison: „Ich meine, ich bin jetzt lange beim FC Bayern, aber so eine Serie von schweren Verletzungen habe ich noch nie erlebt. Wir haben im Moment fünf bis sechs Stammspieler, die monatelang ausfallen. Und das kann keine Mannschaft eigentlich verkraften. Und deswegen ist es ganz wichtig, dass wir so eine Art ‚Wagenburgmentalität‘ vor allem für das Spiel am Mittwoch aufbauen. Denn nur so kannst du das Spiel gewinnen, wenn die Spieler alle über sich hinauswachsen.“

Was Hoeneß mit der ‚Wagenburgmentalität‘ meint: Egal, wie viel Spieler auch ausfallen, die Bayern müssen das alles ausblenden und an sich glauben, um das Weiterkommen gegen Inter Mailand noch zu schaffen.

… die Kritik seiner Frau an seinen oftmals polarisierenden Interviews: „Sie kritisiert mich deshalb, weil man sich das Leben nicht einfacher macht. Man wird ja dann doch sehr attackiert und man wird dann auch kritisiert, teilweise berechtigt, teilweise unter der Gürtellinie. Aber um ehrlich zu sein: Ich habe mir im Laufe dieser 50 Jahre, in denen ich jetzt im Fußball bin, ein dickes Fell erarbeitet. Und ich habe das Gefühl, dass man im Leben weiterkommt, wenn man ehrlich zu sich, aber auch zu anderen ist.“

… das Treffen von ihm mit den Eltern von Leverkusens Florian Wirtz: „Die waren am Tegernsee, das ist über ein Dreivierteljahr oder ein Jahr her. Da ging es gar nicht um einen Wechsel, sondern ich habe der Familie hin und wieder mal geholfen und einen Rat gegeben, für gewisse Dinge, zum Beispiel für Sponsoring. Der Vater kam auf mich zu, ob ich ihm da helfen kann. Das war der Hintergrund. Aber es war nie so, dass wir hier konkret über einen Wechsel von Florian zum FC Bayern gesprochen haben. Vor allem darf man nicht vergessen, dass er bei Bayer Leverkusen noch zwei Jahre Vertrag hat. Und wenn Leverkusen sagt: ‚Wir geben den nicht her‘ – dann können wir uns auf den Kopf stellen. Jetzt so zu tun, als wäre diese Geschichte eingetütet, das finde ich einfach total unseriös.“

… seine Aussage, dass vom Festgeldkonto der Bayern „nicht mehr viel da“ sei: „Da ist auch viel Unsinn geschrieben worden. Wenn ich sage, unser Festgeldkonto ist nicht mehr so groß, wie es mal war, dann haben welche geschrieben, dass wir jetzt pleite sind. Der FC Bayern ist pumperlgsund (bayrisch für kerngesund, d.Red.). Aber es ist natürlich nicht mehr so wie früher, dass wir 100, 150 Millionen auf dem Festgeldkonto hatten. Aber das heißt noch lange nicht, dass der FC Bayern nicht ein total gesunder Verein ist, der, wenn er wollte, selbstverständlich so einen Transfer (bezogen auf Florian Wirtz, d.Red.) machen könnte.“
