The LSU Tigers’ Kim Mulkey stole the show at the 2025 WNBA Draft once again with a rainbow-coloured dinner jacket as the 62-year-old NCAA coach watched Aneesah Morrow become a professional.
Mulkey, who has been in charge of the Tigers since 2021 and led them to the NCAA national championship title in 2022/23, is known for her unique approaches when it comes to dress sense.
And she showed off her latest fashionable look again at The Shed in Hudson Yards as she watched the latest generation of talent picked in New York City to head to the pro scene.
Her blonde bob was already a highlight, but the eyes quickly turned to her outfit as her coat came together with a rainbow-coloured theme resembling ceramic tiles, or even stained glass.
She completed the look with a contrasting pink theme, that shimmered under the lights as she greeted her colleagues and friends.
Morrow reveals Mulkey advice
Mulkey watched another one of her young proteges head to the WNBA as Aneesah Morrow was selected seventh overall by the Connecticut Sun, heading to the Mohegan Sun Arena.
And the 22-year-old revealed the impact of the 62-year-old’s guidance, not when it comes to honing her talent on the court but also owning her independence and personality.
“I feel like she’s tried to instil as much confidence into me as possible,” Morrow said. “Just staying and being who I am, she always encouraged that.
“Never change for nobody. She said to continue perfecting my craft and working on my game.
Morrow sets goals for 2025 WNBA season
With some experts tipping Morrow to already taken on a significant role with the Sun in her debut year, the young woman herself explains what she’s looking for as she prepares to embark on her rookie season.
“To be able to adjust to the system,” Morrow said. “Be on a team where I can learn and be a sponge to pros and some of the best players in the world.
“Be able to learn as much as I possibly can and get constructive criticism from coaches. They’re some of the best in the world as well. And just be able to grow.”
