Am 25. Oktober 2024 schrieb BILD nach dem 1:4-Debakel in Barcelona: „Wenn die Bayern so weitermachen, erleben sie das Champions-League-Finale 2025 in München tatsächlich dahoam – allerdings nicht in der Allianz Arena, sondern dahoam im Wohnzimmer vor dem Fernseher …“

So ist es gekommen. Im Viertelfinale war Schluss. Der italienische Tabellenführer Inter Mailand zu stark für den deutschen Tabellenführer.

Ein Aus, das den Bayern brutal weh tut – und das mehrere Schwächen gnadenlos offenlegt. Unabhängig davon, dass es mit den verletzten Stars Neuer, Musiala, Davies und Upamecano möglicherweise anders gelaufen wäre.

Im Hinspiel gegen Inter verschenkte er den Müller-Moment und ließ ihn 74 Minuten auf der Bank schmoren, ehe er kam und traf. Im Rückspiel ignorierte er Gnabrys Formhoch und setzte stattdessen wieder auf Sané, der auf der linken Seiten keine Idealbesetzung ist. Sollte Kompany die Meisterschaft holen, wäre es nachvollziehbar, dass die Bosse ihm weiter das Vertrauen schenken. Aber noch so eine vermurkste Champions-League-Saison wird er sich nicht leisten dürfen. Die Tiefpunkte: 0:1 bei Aston Villa, 1:4 bei Barcelona, 0:3 bei Feyenoord Rotterdam, 1:1 gegen Celtic, 1:2 gegen Inter – in Europa ist Kompany durchgefallen!

2. Bayern hat seinen Killer-Instinkt verloren!

Zum 1:1 gegen Inter ausgeglichen im Hinspiel, sofort das 1:2 kassiert. Mit 2:1 gegen Dortmund in Führung gegangen, dann das 2:2 bekommen. 1:0 bei Inter geführt, in drei Minuten mit 1:2 in Rückstand geraten. Wackel und wurschtel statt Winner-Mentalität. Alarmierend aus Bayern-Sicht: In der fünften Saison in Folge stehen sie in keinem Finale. Weder DFB-Pokal noch Champions League. Ein Beweis für fehlende Qualität.

3. Defensiv-Einkäufe wären wichtiger als Wirtz!

Kims 50-Mio-Transfer 2023 von Neapel überraschte viele. Und trotz großem Einsatz ist und bleibt er der große Unsicherheitsfaktor in der Bayern-Abwehr. Bevor Manager Eberl versucht, weitere Offensiv-Träume Wirtz-Wirklichkeit werden zu lassen, sollte er den Laden hinten dicht kriegen. Tore gegen Bayern waren mal eine Ausnahme, jetzt sind sie Normalität. Schon 48 in 46 Saison-Spielen! Vielleicht lohnt sich bei Leverkusens Tah ja ein zweiter Anlauf.

4. Kane droht das Ballack-Schicksal!

Ja, er macht einen Haufen Tore. Ja, er hängt sich ohne Ende rein für die Mannschaft. Trotzdem ist er ein Sinnbild für das fehlende große Ding. Weder mit ihren Nationalmannschaften noch mit ihren Vereinen haben die Superstars Kane und Ballack international was gewonnen. Wirklich immer nur Pech?

5. Kimmich gegen Inter nur Mitläufer!

Der Kapitän der Zukunft war in der Gegenwart bei den Inter-Duellen statt Anführer nur ein Mitläufer. Zu wenig für sein Gehalt! Zu wenig für den Anspruch, den er an sich selbst – aber auch die Fans an ihn haben dürfen. Gut, dass er mit seiner messerscharfen Analyse nach dem Aus den Finger in die Wunden legte („Der Trend ist nicht gut. Wir schaffen es nicht, Übergewicht in positive Ergebnisse umzumünzen.“). Aber auch von ihm muss auf dem Platz mehr kommen.

In fünf Bundesliga-Spielen müssen die Bayern nun sechs Punkte Vorsprung auf Leverkusen verteidigen, um Meister zu werden. Sollte das gelingen, verdient dieser Titel Respekt! Aber falls sich die Bayern-Bosse davon blenden lassen sollten, wäre das der nächste brutale Fehler. Mit „Weiter so“ ist es nicht getan, wenn man zurück in Europas Spitze will.
