O rekord i Ligu mistrů. Baník čeká nabitý, ale příjemný závěr sezony

Aktuálně mají Ostravané kolo před koncem základní části na kontě bodů jednašedesát. A to je bezesporu velký apel do toho v sobotu v závěrečném dějství základní části doma proti Bohemians 1905 pořádně šlápnout a jít si za tříbodovým vítězstvím.

Důvodů domácí utkání zvládnout je ale pochopitelně více.

Baník ve svém svatostánku neprohrál od loňského prosince. Tehdy si tři body za výhru 1:0 odvezla Slavia Praha, od té chvíle ale Ostravané na Městském stadionu táhnou šestizápasovou šňůru bez porážky. Pokud nastolený trend udrží, mohou se až do závěrečného kola nadstavby rvát o druhý flek, tudíž i o místenku do předkola Ligy mistrů.

Věhlasná soutěž je další motivací do závěru sezony. Když Baník klokany porazí a Plzeň doma s Duklou Praha prohraje, poskočil by slezský klub zpátky na druhou pozici v tabulce a v nadstavbě by se jak s Plzní, tak se čtvrtou Spartou utkal doma.

Kolo před koncem základní části vede ligu Slavia (75 bodů) a k titulu potřebuje v příštích šesti kolech (30. kolo a pět kol nadstavby) získat pět bodů. Druhá Plzeň má 62 bodů, třetí Baník 61 a čtvrtá Sparta 59. V závěrečném kole Baník přivítá Bohemians, Plzeň pražskou Duklu a Sparta jede do Pardubic.

Baník má se Spartou lepší vzájemné zápasy, v případě jakéhokoliv domácího bodového zisku tak půjde do nadstavbové části ligy nejhůře ze třetí pozice.

„V úvodu soutěže nikdo nepočítal s tím, že budeme takto nahoře. A teď bojujeme o přední příčky se Slavií, Spartou a Plzní. Jsme rádi, že jsme tam někde mezi nimi a že se s nimi dokážeme porvat,“ řekl jeden z tvůrců ostravského fotbalového zázraku Hapal.

Hráči Baníku Ostrava po výhře 2:1 na Dukle Praha

Předkolo Ligy mistrů, do kterého půjde právě druhý tým tabulky po konci soutěže, je nejen pro fanoušky Baníku velkým lákadlem. „Přejeme si to všichni. Zápasů je ale ještě dost a v nadstavbě to bude velice náročné. My si ten sen ale budeme žít a uděláme pro něj maximum,“ vyjádřil se trenér Baníku Pavel Hapal.

Prostředí nejkvalitnější evropské soutěže dobře zná. Ligu mistrů okusil jako hráč Sparty i jako trenér. V sezoně 2010/2011 vedl v základní skupině proti anglické Chelsea, francouzskému Olympique Marseille a ruskému Spartaku Moskva slovenského mistra Žilinu.

Hapal: Baník už trenéra nepotřebuje

Baník a celou Ostravu sužuje v dobrém slova smyslu fotbalová horečka. Přitom ještě v roce 2016 klubu hrozil zánik. Zachránil ho podnikatel Václav Brabec, z výsledkového marasmu se klub definitivně dostal po příchodu sportovního manažera Luďka Mikloška a 55letého rodáka z Kroměříže Hapala, který ligový tým převzal v říjnu 2022 po odvolaném Pavlu Vrbovi.

Nyní v nadsázce hovoří o tom, že současný Baník by se bez něj už obešel. „Toto mužstvo trenéra nepotřebuje. Ví, co chce, máme naučený určitý systém a hráči tomu dávají maximum. Trenéra možná budou potřebovat, až přijdou horší chvíle. Já si to vůbec nepřipisuji, my jen něco nastolili, nějak to vedeme a tohle je odměna hráčů, ne nás trenérů nebo realizačního týmu, byť jsme toho součástí,“ řekl s úsměvem na rtech Hapal, jenž s klubem uzavřel novou dvouletou smlouvu.

„Nemáme důvod něco měnit. Spokojeni jsme s výsledky a také s tím, že předváděná hra má parametry moderního fotbalu a stoupající úroveň. Věříme, že v tom budeme pokračovat. Určitě před sebou jako klub máme další velké výzvy a věříme, že stávající realizák nám pomůže v jejich naplňování,“ řekl šéf sportovního úseku Baníku Luděk Mikloško.

Baník má na dosah velký úspěch.

Znovu po roce míří do evropských pohárů, ve hře je stále i v domácím pohárovém osudí. „Všichni cítíme, že by se to tento rok mohlo podařit. Děláme pro to všechno. Zbývá nám zvládnout dva zápasy,“ uvedl slovenský záložník Tomáš Rigo, jenž nádhernou trefou z přímého kopu zařídil postup přes Jablonec (1:0) do semifinále.

V něm Ostrava v úterý 22. dubna vyzve doma Olomouc, a pokud uspěje, zahraje si i finále na svém stadionu buď proti Spartě, nebo s Plzní. „Pohár je motivace, samozřejmě. Čeká nás ještě dlouhá cesta a věřím, že kluci nepřemýšlí dopředu. Po losu semifinále jsme je nabádali, že jestli někdo uvažuje nad pohárem, tak ať rychle zapomene a soustředí se na Duklu. To byl pro nás klíčový zápas. Ten další nás čeká v sobotu doma,“ vykolíkoval Hapal priority zcela jasně.
