Edmundo voltou a falar sobre a situação financeira discrepante do futebol brasileiro nesta segunda (24), em live feita no YouTube. Na concepção do comentarista, Flamengo e Palmeiras dominam o futebol brasileiro em termos de dinheiro para injetar no mercado da bola.

“Há uma escassez de jogadores e sobra de dinheiro em alguns times. Há arrecadação três, quatro vezes mais do que os outros grandes. Antigamente, havia uma discrepância do grupo dos 13 para os demais clubes, agora há essa diferença entre os grandes”, iniciou Edmundo, citando a dupla na sequência.

“Hoje, o Flamengo e o Palmeiras arrecadam muito mais do que os seus rivais interestaduais. O Corinthians se reinventa, consegue ter mais dinheiro do que arrecada. O Cruzeiro e o Atlético têm mecenas, e as SAFs buscam crescer gradativamente”, complementou o ex-jogador.

De acordo com informações do site “Transfermarkt”, especializado no mercado da bola, os plantéis de Palmeiras e Flamengo puxam a fila dos mais valiosos do futebol brasileiro entre os 20 times que figuram na elite nacional.

O alviverde, que fez uma janela de mais de R$ 400 milhões em contratações, tem elenco avaliado na casa de 228 milhões de euros, enquanto o rubro-negro aparece com 201,2 milhões de euros. A disparidade da dupla em relação aos demais chama atenção, haja vista que o terceiro colocado é o Botafogo, com 119 milhões de euros.

Edmundo vê Vasco ‘adormecido’

Ainda na transmissão, Edmundo foi convicto ao destacar que o Vasco ‘parou no tempo’ e precisa resgatar a sua tradição de protagonismo. Apesar da distância com Pedrinho, ele disse ainda ter contato frequente com pessoas dos bastidores do clube, e mostra confiança em um processo de remontada do clube.

O último título faturado pelo Gigante da Colina foi em 2016, quando conquistou o Campeonato Carioca. A conquista de expressão mais recente se deu em 2011, na Copa do Brasil.
