Imanol: “El Madrid es el favorito, pero en la Real estamos convencidos de que vamos a jugar nosotros la final”

Imanol Alguacil es consciente de que el Real Madrid es el favorito para ganar la semifinal de la Copa del Rey y pasar a la final, pero asegura que él y sus futbolistas se ven capaces de remontar el 0-1 de a ida en Anoeta y ser ellos los que celebren estar el próximo 26 de abril en La Cartuja.

Oyarzabal y Óskarsson, ‘tocados’ realizaron una prueba en el calentamiento previo para recibir al Valladolid. ¿La van a tener que hacer también mañana?: “Corrimos el riesgo, pero un riesgo controlado, sabiendo que tenía que hacer esa prueba. Es una lesión pequeña que no iba a ir a más pudo jugar, ayudar al equipo a ganar y no se ha resentido. Hoy no ha hecho todo, pero para que mañana esté en plenas condiciones, así que todo ha salido muy bien”.

El Madrid siempre es favorito a ganar, la Liga, la Copa, la Champions y el Mundialito

El técnico de la Real sabe del favoritismo del Real Madrid, pero tiene clara su idea y la de sus futbolistas. “El Real Madrid es favorito para ganar siempre, lo es para ganar la Liga, la Copa, la Champions y el Mundialito, tiene una gran plantilla y un gran entrenador, pero los jugadores y yo estamos convencidos de que vamos a ser nosotros los que vamos a estar en la final”.

Imanol ha insistido en su idea de seguir haciendo historia en la Real. “En la mente de los jugadores y en la mía esta en seguir haciendo historia con nuestro club. Estar en la final sería vivir una noche histórica y lo vamos a pelear. ¿El 3-4? No vivo del pasado, sí del presente y les he dicho que los dos partidos de esta temporada les hemos perdido, pero hemos estado cerca de ganarlos. Necesitamos hacer un partido como esos y acertar, si lo hacemos, con el máximo respeto al Madrid, estoy convencido de que vamos a estar en la final. Tenemos que hacer que todos hablen de que la Real pudo con el Madrid y se clasificó para la final”.

¿El favoritismo del Real Madrid le quita presión? “No, no, yo tengo mucha presión, porque quiero jugar la final. Tengo la misma presión que el año pasado contra el Mallorca, porque nos estábamos jugado una final. El Madrid es el favorito, pero eso no quiere decir que nosotros no tengamos posibilidades y las vamos a agotar. Y no se puede decir que no tengo nada que perder, yo sí que tengo mucho que perder. Creerme, estamos igual de convencidos que el año pasado contra el Mallorca, aunque el rol es diferente, entonces éramos favoritos y ahora lo es le Madrid, pero el favoritismo”.

Le hemos dicho si remontar la eliminatoria sería su mayor proeza como entrenador de la Real. “Sería una noche más, porque son muchas noches grandes, bonitas y redondas de las que hemos vivido estos años. Vamos a poner todo de nuestra parte para meter una noche más en todas esas que ha habido en los últimos seis años”.

¿El 0-1 de la ida cambia el planteamiento para mañana? “No, nada. Mañana puede pasar que incluso ellos hagan el 1-0 en el 15, nosotros el 1-1 en el 80 y luego el 1-2 y llegar a la final, después de… ¿Qué necesitamos que Mbappé no acierte y sí lo hagamos nosotros? Lo normal es que Mbappé acierte, así que igual nos obligan a hacer más de un gol para llegar a la prórroga… Ellos se caracterizan porque a veces, haciendo poco, son capaces de hacer gol, así que puede ser que mañana también esté acertado. Es importante que nosotros estemos acertados en nuestras posibilidades”.

Por último, se le ha pedido que dijese lo que mejor hace el Real Madrid. “Me parece que hacen muchísimas cosas bien desde que Carlo está al frente del equipo. Ha demostrado de sobra lo gran entrenador que es y el rendimiento que saca a todas sus plantillas. Da igual los jugadores que tenga, siempre sacar rendimiento y es favorito a ganar todas las competiciones”.
