Beim gefallenen englischen Meister Manchester City steht im Sommer wohl ein Kader-Umbruch an – mal wieder.
Die Meisterschaft können die Cityzens abhaken, in der Champions League war in den Playoffs schon Schluss, Real Madrid war zu stark. Schon im Winter war Man City auf großer Shoppingtour, um die sportliche Talfahrt zu stoppen. Vergeblich.
Drei Mega-Abgänge bei City im Sommer?
[–>Im Sommer wird wohl wieder die Vereinsschatulle geöffnet, um neue Stars zu verpflichten. Vorher werden aber wohl andere Spieler erst gehen müssen. Wie Sky berichtet, könnte es auch drei namhafte Stars treffen. Demnach sind die Abgänge von Kevin De Bruyne (33), Ilkay Gündogan (34) und Jack Grealish (29) nicht mehr unwahrscheinlich.
De Bruyne und Gündogan befinden sich im letzten Vertragsjahr beim Premier-League-Klub. Laut dem Bericht sind die Entscheidungen über beide noch nicht gefallen. Letzte Gespräche mit De Bruyne sollen bald anstehen, bei Gündogan könnten diese erst später in der Saison erfolgen.
Grealish hingegen ist bei Citys Star-Trainer Pep Guardiola (54) schon länger nicht mehr erste Wahl. Obwohl sein Vertrag noch bis 2027 läuft, ist eine Trennung im Sommer wahrscheinlich. Denn der englische Nationalspieler soll mit seiner Situation unzufrieden sein. Er will mit zur WM im kommenden Sommer. Dafür braucht er aber Spielzeit.

Am Wochenende wurde Guardiola auf die Zukunft von De Bruyne bei Man City angesprochen, ob er im kommenden Jahr noch Teil der Mannschaft bei der Klub-WM sei. Der City-Trainer hielt sich ungewöhnlich bedeckt, erklärte: „Es ist eine Angelegenheit zwischen Kevin und dem Klub. Im Moment möchte ich nur die Saison so gut wie möglich beenden. Über einzelne Situationen denke ich nicht eine Sekunde nach. Jeder muss daran denken, was das Beste für den Verein ist.“
Als Nachfolger haben die Engländer Florian Wirtz (21) von Bayer Leverkusen auf dem Zettel, sollte der den deutschen Meister im Sommer verlassen wollen.
[–>Man City wolle Gündogan hingegen im Verein halten. Allerdings wohl eher auf der Trainerbank. Da er wohl noch weiterhin spielen will, könnte eine Trennung erfolgen. Eine mögliche Station: die Türkei. Dort Galatasaray aus Istanbul um den Mittelfeldstar buhlen. Gespräche über einen Einjahresvertrag mit der Option auf eine weitere Spielzeit sollen am Ende der Saison geführt werden, so die türkische Sportzeitung „Fotomac“.
Das Team von Man City könnte also in der kommenden Saison ein neues Gesicht bekommen …
