Dunne’s role with LSU was limited for her final season
Despite being named WCGA Academic All-American in 2024 and being one of the highest-paid athletes due to her multiple NIL deals and business prospects, Olivia Dunne’s final season with the LSU Tigers gymnastics team had her under a limited role.
The famous athlete adress the topic during an interview with ESPN, stating that she played a significant role in the team despite fewer appearances. LSU does have other prominent gymnasts, like Haleigh Bryant and Aleah Finnegan.
The head coach of the LSU Tigers, Jay Clark, told Dunne that every role on the team is important, and she couldn’t agree more. “I feel like this year has been one of my best years gymnastics-wise, and I’m pushing my way to make those lineups. But honestly, any role that I’m given, I’m so excited to do.” Olivia said.
