LSU loss upsets Kim Mulkey and she gets nasty with a reporter: How many Final Fours did you play in?

It’s all over for the LSU Tigers once again after they fell to a narrow 72-65 defeat to the UCLA Bruins on March 30, and it seems emotions boiled over as Kim Mulkey lost her cool with the media.

The Tigers are still chasing the high of the 2023 NCAA season when Angel Reese spurred them to the national championship, and will have to regroup and go again next season after their Elite Eight loss at the Spokane Arena.

Kim Mulkey embarrassed by her grandson’s mischievous act during interview

Whilst Aneesah Morrow and Flau’jae Johnson combined for 43 points, 11 rebounds and five assists, their shared talent proved to be unable to stop the Bruins edging them out after a particular dominant second-quarter for UCLA.

No doubt disappointed, the Tigers will look to lick their wounds and recover but it seems as though emotions got the better of some of the team members as an irritated Mulkey snapped back at a journalist.

The reporter subject to her ire was Jayden Smith of KLSU Sports, a student-run radio based at LSU aiming to train the next generation as she seemed to laugh at the youngster’s employer.

“That’s terrible, isn’t it,” Mulkey said after Smith introduced himself and his publication, before pointing out it’s the Tigers second-consecutive Elite Eight exit. “Is that terrible, or is that good? Is it? How many Final Fours you play in?”

Smith then answered zero, to which Mulkey joked, “So it’s probably pretty good, huh? Alright.”

To be fair to the 62-year-old head coach, she did wink at the reporter afterwards suggesting it was all tongue in cheek. For Smith, it was a good training exercise to learn how to approach agitated sportspeople after a loss.

When are the Final Four games?

The Final Four is set as the teams battle it out for a spot in the national championship game in women’s basketball, with four remaining after 68 kicked off March Madness a few weeks ago.

So far, the UCLA Bruins have punched their Final Four ticket and they will be in action on Friday, April 4. Tip-off will either be at 19:00 ET/16:00 PT on ESPN, or 21:30 ET/18:30 PT on the same network.

4 Takeaways From the Blue Jays’ ALCS Game 3 Win Over the Mariners

The Mariners boarded their charter flight back to Seattle in high spirits. After winning two games on the road, they were in an ideal position, needing to lock down just two more victories to advance to the World Series for the first time in franchise history. Returning to T-Mobile Park, the M’s could practically taste the Fall Classic. Not so fast. The Blue Jays stormed back and delivered a thundering statement by slugging five home runs — with three of them coming off Mariners' starter George Kirby. The Mariners finished the game with three homers (the combined eight HRs tied a postseason record for a game), but the Jays took the home crowd out of the game by the fifth inning and ensured there would be no sweep. Here are my takeaways: 1. Raiders ‘weren’t happy’ ESPN showed Tom Brady in their coaches’ box, Joe Buck says

Tom Brady and the Las Vegas Raiders got the kind of attention they've been hoping to avoid last month when the future Hall of Famer was shown in the team's coaches' box during a "Monday Night Football" game.Brady is currently juggling two roles as a high-priced color commentator for Fox Sports and a minority owner of the Raiders, which has raised conflict of interest concerns for many around the league.
