Marcos, após Palmeiras x Botafogo, aproveitou para exaltar o nível apresentado pelo Glorioso. Mesmo atuando fora de casa, o atual campeão do Brasileirão esteve perto de, mais uma vez, vencer a equipe paulista, desta vez pela abertura do campeonato. Neste cenário, embora o elenco tenha sofrido baixas, o ex-goleiro acredita que o time carioca é um dos grandes candidatos ao título nacional em 2025.
“Desmontou, mas ainda tem um grande time. Continua (sendo) um dos favoritos eu acho, apesar que não assisti o Carioca, só vi hoje, ainda acho um time bom.”, escreveu Marcos, no Instagram.

Em campo, o Palmeiras sofreu com os contra-ataques do Botafogo, mas poderia ter vencido. Levando em conta que apenas Flaco López teve uma chance clara de balançar as redes, Marcos vê o “momento ruim” do Verdão durando bastante tempo.
“A gente teve uma chance o jogo inteiro com o Flaco. Isso é o que me dá preocupação. Está só começando o campeonato. A gente sabe que os times passam por momentos assim, só que o momento ruim do Palmeiras está durando muito tempo. O sofrimento vai até o final do ano, temos que torcer para que as coisas melhorem. É ter paciência.”, afirmou Marcos.
Abel Ferreira ressalta jogo difícil
Encarando um dos favoritos ao título, o Palmeiras não mostrou um bom desempenho na primeira rodada do Brasileirão. Reconhecendo que o futebol apresentado está abaixo do ideal, Abel Ferreira também quis ressaltar a vantagem do Botafogo em descansar antes da partida.
“O Botafogo teve uma semana ou 15 dias para preparar o jogo. E a gente vem de uma final que nos custou, sabíamos que o jogo ia ser difícil. Não jogamos contra um adversário qualquer e nosso lado anímico não estava bom.”, externou.
