Das bevorstehende Bayern-Aus von Thomas Müller (35) erhitzt die Gemüter!
Am Sonntag hatte der „kicker“ vermeldet, dass das Aus des Bayern-Urgesteins (seit 2000 im Verein) beschlossen ist und Müller keinen neuen Vertrag mehr in München bekommen wird. Zuvor hatte bereits SPORT BILD über das sich anbahnende Ende berichtet.

Nachdem sich Sportvorstand Max Eberl (51/„Wir werden erst dann etwas verkünden, wenn es etwas zu verkünden gibt) gegenüber BILD zum Vertrags-Poker um Müller geäußert hatte, legt jetzt Lothar Matthäus (64) nach!

Ehrenpräsident Uli Hoeneß (73) hatte Müller zuvor bereits öffentlich geraten, seine Laufbahn zu beenden, seine Rolle auf der Bank sei seiner „Karriere nicht würdig“.

Der Vertrag von Müller, der 2000 zur D-Jugend des Rekordmeisters wechselte, läuft im Sommer aus. Der Weltmeister zählt weiterhin zu den Topverdienern des Kaders, soll mit Prämien geschätzt bis zu 17 Millionen Euro verdienen können. Die Bosse sollen Müller klargemacht haben, dass sie weiterhin Gehälter einsparen müssen.

Matthäus: „Thomas ist vielleicht sauer, weil ein Gespräch zu wenig stattgefunden hat. Er liebt es, Fußball zu spielen, er möchte auf dem Platz stehen, wenn es um die Wurst geht: Damit kann er nicht zufrieden sein. Es ist sportlich nicht das, was es die letzten 17 Jahre war. Zudem muss Bayern auch Geld einsparen.“
Unter Vincent Kompany (38) zählt Müller nicht mehr zu den Leistungsträgern, kommt meist über die Joker-Rolle nicht hinaus. In der Bundesliga hat Müller in dieser Saison 862 Minuten auf dem Konto, im DFB-Pokal 135 Minuten, in der Champions League 263 Minuten.

Die Bayern wollen Müller über seine Spieler-Karriere hinaus im Klub halten. Selbst eine spätere Führungsrolle, an die Müller herangeführt werden könnte, ist nicht ausgeschlossen. Ein Abschiedsspiel am Ende seiner Bayern-Zeit wurde dem Weltmeister von 2014 derweil schon bei den Vertragsverlängerungen in der Vergangenheit zugesichert.
Der Ex-Profi weiter: „Der Verein sollte fair mit Thomas umgehen. Aber Thomas sollte einen Punkt hinter seine Bayern-Zeit als Spieler machen. Er sollte ohne Groll zurückgucken, auch wenn er gerne eine andere Kommunikation gehabt hätte. Ich rate Thomas, zwei Jahre in die USA zu gehen, den Horizont zu erweitern. Das tut ihm gut in seiner Entwicklung und kann ihn in die Position bringen, danach einen Posten beim FC Bayern zu übernehmen.“
Müller hat weiterhin Spaß am Fußball. Klubs aus der US-Liga locken ihn bereits seit Langem, ein Wechsel innerhalb der Bundesliga oder nach Saudi-Arabien ist kein Thema.
