Sin tiempo que perder y ante la cercanía del duelo, los colchoneros realizaron la segunda sesión de entrenamiento tras la pasada cita frente al Espanyol y Cholo Simeone comenzó a hacer algunas pruebas sobre lo que podría ser el equipo titular. El técnico argentino hizo algunas variantes respecto al duelo del RCDE Stadium y una de ellas es la de la portería. Después de que Juan Musso disputara todos los encuentros de Copa hasta ahora, el argentino se mantuvo entre los posibles titulares para la cita frente al Barça.
En una sesión en la que el cuerpo técnico rojiblanco tuvo a todos sus jugadores disponibles y la única baja será la de Correa por la sanción que acumula, los futbolistas que podrían saltar al verde junto a Musso serían: Nahuel, Giménez, Lenglet, Galán; Llorente, De Paul, Gallagher, Giuliano; Julián y Griezmann.
Con esta alineación destacaría el regreso de Galán a la titularidad para jugar por detrás de un Giuliano que cambiaría su banda respecto al primer tramo de la temporada.
