La vuelta de Ter Stegen a los terrenos de juego sigue sin una fecha definida, pero ésta se presume próxima. Está acortando los plazos en su rehabilitación.
El cancerbero culé, de 32 años, se lesionó en la sexta jornada de LaLiga, en el cruce disputado en el estadio de La Cerámica, y fue intervenido apenas 24 horas después: el 23 de septiembre. Pasó por el quirófano para superar una rotura del tendón rotuliano de la rodilla derecha. Aunque en su caso el Barça no facilitó el tiempo estimado que debía causar baja, este tipo de dolencia implica estar lejos de los terrenos de juego alrededor de ocho meses. Es decir, que, a priori, llegaba muy justo para tener minutos esta temporada: en la entidad, prácticamente se descartó su retorno este curso.
Pero su buena evolución provoca que ahora sea más que probable y posible que regrese a una convocatoria esta campaña 24-25. Aunque todos en el club van con mucha prudencia en todo lo relacionado con la vuelta tras una lesión, y más si es de larga duración como en el caso de Ter Stegen, las sensaciones del internacional alemán son muy buenas, de ahí el optimismo con un retorno que se prevé próximo. Ha ido asimilando muy bien el aumento de las cargas y la intensidad de trabajo.

Era el meta titular del Barça. Ahora, Ter Stegen deberá pugnar con Szczesny, fichado para suplir su baja de larga duración, por el arco azulgrana. El veterano cancerbero polaco se ha ganado la confianza del extécnico del Bayern de Múnich. Con él bajo palos, de hecho, el Barcelona no ha perdido. Si regresa este curso, la vuelta del capitán será prácticamente testimonial, pero la campaña próxima habrá seria competencia bajo palos en bloque catalán, ya que el exportero de la Juventus está en negociaciones para renovar.
