El atacante José Antonio Morante ha sido incluido en la lista de convocados de la selección española sub-18 para llevar a cabo tres entrenamientos. El hijo de Morante de la Puebla ya había sido parte de algunas sesiones con el primer equipo esta temporada, de la mano de Pellegrini.
El jugador, de 17 años de edad, forma parte del equipo Juvenil de División de Honor del conjunto verdiblanco, en la que está siendo su segunda temporada en el club. A principios de año firmó su primer contrato profesional con el equipo verdiblanco. Se trata de un talentoso futbolista zurdo, que puede jugar en las tres posiciones de ataque.

José Antonio ha heredado de su padre la pasión por los toros. En varias ocasiones se le ha podido ver celebrando alguno de sus goles un ‘pase’ torero. De hecho, en sus redes sociales ha publicado algunas fotos toreando vaquillas. Una pasión que también reflejó toreando con una bandera del Betis después de eliminar al ‘eterno rival’ en la pasada Copa de Campeones.
