Seine starke Bilanz: In 95 Spielen erzielte er zwischen 2009 und 2011 35 Tore, bereitete 31 vor.

Jetzt sagt van Gaal: „Leider spielt Müller nicht mehr immer!“ Außerdem erklärt er: „Wenn er sich entscheidet, Abschied zu nehmen, verdient er sich einen großen Abschied für die Fans und Mitspieler des FC Bayern München.“
In diesem Sommer läuft der Vertrag der Klub-Legende aus, eine Verlängerung ist unwahrscheinlich. Bisher machte er für die Bayern 742 Partien – so viele wie kein andere in der Geschichte des Vereins.
