Seit 2023 gibt es den Videobeweis in der Handball-Bundesliga. In der kommenden Saison soll der nun auch eine Liga tiefer eingeführt werden. Und das aus triftigem Grund.
Beim Zweitliga-Duell zwischen dem VfL Lübeck-Schwartau und dem HC Elbflorenz Dresden (33:33) gab es einen handfesten Skandal, weil niemand bemerkte, dass der Gastgeber mit acht statt der erlaubten sieben Spieler auf der Platte stand. Dies blieb auch in einem weiteren Spiel, Ferndorf gegen Hamm (35:34), unbemerkt.

„Diese Fälle sind geschehen und ärgern uns massiv. Wir müssen daraus zusammen schnell lernen“, sagte Jutta Ehrmann (61), die Leiterin des Schiedsrichterwesens im DHB, bereits. Und nun reagiert auch die HBL.

Bereits in der kommenden Saison soll auch in der 2. Liga, wo es derzeit vor allem im Abstiegskampf sehr eng zugeht, der Videobeweis eingeführt werden, der eigentlich erst ab 2030 geplant war. Frank Bohmann, Geschäftsführer der Handball-Bundesliga (HBL), erklärte gegenüber den „Lübecker Nachrichten“: „Wir werden ihn schon für die kommende Saison anbieten. Es ist völlig unzweifelhaft, dass er die Qualität der Schiris erhöht.“
[–>Allerdings: Um diesen Videobeweis zu nutzen, müssten Zeitnehmer und Sekretär am Kampfgericht erst einmal merken, dass dieser Regelverstoß vorliegt und die Schiedsrichter darauf hinweisen. Das war bei den oben genannten Spielen nicht der Fall.
