In Arizona, Murray’s situation remains uncertain, but the team continues to have faith in him. Despite the inconsistency in his performance, Murray threw for 3,851 yards, 21 touchdowns, and rushed for 572 yards in 2024. However, he remains an erratic player, as evidenced by his lack of rushing attempts following his recovery from an ACL injury. According to Schottenheimer, the fact that Murray did not utilize his running ability “was a calculated message,” suggesting that the quarterback might not be a good fit for teams like the Cowboys.
The Arizona Cardinals do not appear willing to part with Murray for now. Although they still believe in his talent, their patience is running thin. As he himself admitted, “I haven’t done enough,” acknowledging that his future depends on improving his performance.
