Apesar do status de “pedra no sapato” atrelado ao Talleres, Ana Thaís lembrou que o São Paulo, tricampeão da Libertadores, não poderia temer os argentinos. Por conta da tradição do Tricolor, a jornalista fez questão de ressaltar a missão cumprida fora de casa.
“O Talleres se tornou um ‘rival’ do São Paulo, mas vamos lembrar que o São Paulo na Libertadores é o São Paulo na Libertadores. O fracasso lá atrás com o Talleres diz mais sobre a fase que o São Paulo atravessava do que sobre o histórico do São Paulo na competição. O São Paulo foi competente, mas não foi um jogo brilhante.”, afirmou.

Além do São Paulo, Ana Thaís vê margem para crescimento dos demais times brasileiros na Libertadores. Dando ênfase ao caso do Botafogo, derrotado pela Universidad de Chile, a jornalista considera que Renato Paiva possui condições de fazer o Glorioso entrar nos eixos e seguir rumo ao mata-mata.
“É válido pontuar que tem tempo para solucionar os problemas que aconteceram nesta rodada. O Botafogo teve muita posse de bola, mas voltou a pecar na criatividade. É o momento de corrigir.”, externou.
