Un joven de 17 años fue acusado de asesinar a puñaladas a otro chico de 17 años durante un altercado en una competición de atletismo que se disputaba en el Estadio Kuykendall en Frisco (Texas).
La policía de Frisco informó que el incidente ocurrió durante la competición del campeonato del Distrito 11-5A de la Liga Interescolar Universitaria (UIL).
Según el informe policial Karmelo Anthony, jugador de fútbol americano de la Escuela Secundaria Frisco Centennial, mató a Austin Metcalf, atleta y jugador de fútbol americano de la Escuela Secundaria Frisco Memorial, tras una discusión en el evento.
Anthony se encuentra detenido sin derecho a fianza por un delito grave de primer grado.

Estudiantes y padres del Frisco Independent School District expresaron su dolor e indignación en redes sociales por el violento ataque.
“Esta tragedia me ha conmocionado profundamente, a mí, a mi familia y a mis amigos. Confío en que Dios nos ayudará a superar los momentos difíciles que se avecinan” publicó Jeff, el padre de Metcalf, en redes sociales.

Matt Krohn Minnesota Twins promising rookie infielder/outfielder Luke Keaschall suffered a nondisplaced fracture in his right forearm on Friday, the club told reporters following the Twins' 11-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Keaschall suffered the injury when he was struck by a pitch from Kyle Hendricks in the first inning.
