Al parecer el plazo para la presentación de candidaturas terminó ya, algo que celebra la candidatura del Reino Unido. El primer ministro Keir Starmer reconoce el interés y el firme apoyo político. “El fútbol es y será núcleo de nuestra identidad”.

Estados Unidos mostró interés para albergar la edición de 2031, con la posibilidad de que otros países de la región de la CONCACAF se unan al proyecto. Probablemente, esto incluiría a México. Mientras que una candidatura encabezada del Reino Unido encabezada por Inglaterra es la que al parecer ha llegado a tiempo para albergar la siguiente cita, la del 2035.
