El conjunto de Lionel Scaloni, tras sus victorias ante Uruguay (0-1) y Brasil (4-1), sigue liderando el ranking FIFA con 1886.16 puntos, es decir 19.16 unidades más que en la última clasificación, mientras que la selección liderada por Luis de la Fuente ocupa la segunda posición con 1854.64 y los de Didier Deschamps cierran el podio, tras perder el puesto con España debido a su derrota ante Croacia (3-1), con 1852.71.
