Cada vez más, los ojeadores de los grandes clubes ponen el ojo en el país asiático, ampliando cada vez más la lista de jugadores saudíes que se reparten por las grandes ligas del planeta fútbol.
Saud Abdulhamid (25 años, AS Roma)
El primer jugador saudí en la historia de la Serie A. El lateral derecho, nacido en Yeda, rompió una gran barrera después de fichar el pasado verano por la Roma. A sus 25 años, el ’12’ del cuadro italiano ya ha hecho carrera en el fútbol de su país. Se formó en las inferiores de Al-Ittihad y de ahí pasó al Al-Hilal en 2022. Con el club de Riad ha sido dos veces campeón de Arabia Saudí y acabó dando el gran salto a un grande como la Roma, donde actualmente juega bajos las órdenes de Claudio Ranieri.

Aunque el club parisino acabó remontando y venció 2-4, Muhanad Al-Saad acaba de llegar (enero de este año) a un equipo en plena lucha por el ascenso a la Ligue One (quinto en Segunda división). Rakan Al-Ghamdi (19 años, NEC Nijmegen)
Más talento joven procedente de la Saudi Pro League. En este caso, en la Eredivisie. Juega, también como centrocampista, en el Nijmegen de la Primera división neerlandesa. Con tan sólo 19 años, es indiscutible en la sub 23 de Arabia Saudí. Formado en la cantera del Al-Nassr, dio el salto a Europa esta temporada, a modo de cesión, por lo que sigue siendo propiedad del club que capitanea Cristiano Ronaldo.

De este modo, la Liga saudí está empezando a generar grandes futuras estrellas, exportando talento joven.
