Olivia Dunnehas long been at home in the social media spotlight, navigating the fast-paced world like a pro. But for her MLB star boyfriend, Paul Skenes, it’s a whole different story.
Despite being a major part of Livvy’s life-and the main source of income for her-Paul couldn’t seem less interested in the world of social media. During a recent interview, not only did he come across as completely disengaged, but his laid-back, almost lazy attitude clashed sharply with Livvy’s bubbly energy, raising some eyebrows.
Paul’s laid-back vibe clashes with Livvy’s lively energy
To the surprise of many of Olivia’s fans, Paul doesn’t even have Instagram on his phone. To be fair, a social media detox isn’t the worst thing in the world; sometimes it’s good to step away. However, it was clear that for Paul, the entire online universe might as well not exist. And while that might be fine for him, here’s the thing: it’s a big deal for his partner.
Paul’s attitude stood out, especially because he appeared super serious throughout the interview. Anyone who’s seen Livvy in action knows she’s all smiles and totally comfortable in front of the camera, making it feel like maybe the GQ interview was Livvy’s idea all along-and Paul wasn’t exactly thrilled about it.
But here’s where things get interesting: Paul is no stranger to being in the spotlight, having been named MLB’s Rookie of the Year last season. Still, even in that moment, he looked utterly unimpressed. It’s led some fans to think that maybe the only thing Paul wants to do is play baseball-end of story.
Paul’s attitude raises eyebrows
Now, let’s take a breather. Maybe Paul’s just a serious guy by nature. Sure, he could probably show a bit more enthusiasm at events like this, especially if it’s important to Olivia. But this kind of flat attitude raises questions about the state of their relationship. Could it be that the tension is simmering beneath the surface, just not in the way people might expect?
Paul might not have had the perfect response when it came to Livvy’s social media, and hey, that’s understandable to some extent. But it was his nonchalant, “whatever” attitude that really caught people’s attention-more than any answer he gave about his girlfriend.
