Xabi Alonso
Die Aussage von Simon Rolfes (43) klingt nach einem Machtwort: „Er bleibt“, sagte der Sportchef von Bayer Leverkusen zur Zukunft seines Trainers Xabi Alonso (43). Der Spanier hatte das in seinem Vertrag festgeschriebene Bekenntnis bis 2026 kurz zuvor nicht wiederholt – sondern lediglich erklärt, es gebe für ihn nichts zu entscheiden. Also bleibt alles, wie es ist.
Davon gehen sie in Leverkusen aus. Besonders Klubchef Fernando Carro (60) und Rolfes. Bei „allen Planungen“ sei er mit Alonso „im engen Austausch“.

SPORT BILD verrät, wie weit diese Planungen mit Alonso fortgeschritten sind und warum man sich im Verein keine Sorgen über einen Abgang des Trainers macht.
► Kader-Umbruch: Höchste Priorität hat der neue Abwehrchef. Jonathan Tah (29) geht ablösefrei – voraussichtlich zum FC Barcelona. Ein Kandidat ist Malick Thiaw (23) von der AC Mailand. Die Ablöse soll bei rund 25 Mio. Euro liegen. Zudem soll eine neue Nr. 1 kommen. Matej Kovar (24) wird die Rolle nicht zugetraut, nachdem er im Achtelfinale der Champions League erneut gepatzt hat. Der Nationaltorwart Tschechiens steht vor einem Wechsel. Alonsos Wunschlösung soll der Spanier Joan García (23) von Espanyol Barcelona sein, das um den Klassenerhalt kämpft (derzeit Platz 16 von 20). Das Eigengewächs ist seit dieser Saison als Nr. 1 gesetzt und gilt im Tor als größtes Talent Spaniens. Leverkusen lockt mit der Perspektive Champions League und mit Alonso. Auf allen weiteren Positionen wird über Zugänge entschieden, wenn Abgänge (z. B. Boniface, Frimpong) feststehen.
Alonso plant Trainingslager in Brasilien
► Vorbereitung: Alonso sagte zwar, dass er sich aktuell nur auf den Saisonendspurt konzentrieren möchte. Aber er strukturiert bereits die Vorbereitung auf die nächste Saison. U. a. plant Leverkusen ein Trainingslager in Brasilien. Alonso ist kein Fan von Langstreckenflügen und Zeitverschiebungen. 2024 argumentierte er aus sportlichen Gründen gegen eine Reise, die vor allem der Vermarktung dient. In diesem Jahr ist er offen für ein Camp in Südamerika, weil im Sommer weder WM noch EM anstehen und er seine Stars frühzeitig zusammen hat. Gegenüber Liga-Konkurrent Bayern München ist er im Vorteil, weil der Rekordmeister an der Klub-WM teilnimmt.
► Kommunikation: Alonso hat gegenüber den Bossen nie anklingen lassen, dass ihn ein Wechsel beschäftigt. In keinem Gespräch ging es bisher um ein vorzeitiges Ende. Im Gegenteil: Bayer will mit dem Trainer verlängern und hat ihm dies signalisiert. Nach dem Ende der Saison soll es konkrete Gespräche geben.
[–>► Umzug: Alonso und seine Familie suchen ein neues Haus in Düsseldorf. Ehefrau Nagore Aranburu (45) und die drei Kinder sind im Rheinland heimisch geworden.
► Ziel: Alonso will nicht weg aus Leverkusen, weil er sich beim Double-Sieger von 2024 voll auf die Trainerarbeit konzentrieren kann und es keine Nebenkriegs-Schauplätze gibt. Er kann, wie er selbst sagt, weiter „lernen“. Es gibt nur einen Verein, der ihn reizt: Real Madrid. Seinen Ex-Klubs Bayern München und Liverpool, für die er spielte, hat er vor einem Jahr abgesagt.

Stalo se tak zásluhou dvou bleskových branek týmu s bleskem na hrudi v rozmezí neuvěřitelných jedenácti sekund krátce za zlomem zápasu do jeho druhé poloviny.
