El regreso de Atlético Nacional a una fase de grupos de Copa Libertadores se dio en este 2025 contra Nacional de Montevideo, abriendo el Grupo F, en el que comparten zona con los brasileños Internacional de Porto Alegre y Bahia. Y aparte del poder ofensivo de los ‘verdolagas’, lo más complicado para los uruguayos era llegar con un técnico encargado, debido a la mala campaña y salida de Martín Lasarte hace un par de días.
En Copa Libertadores estos equipos ya se habían enfrentado en fases de grupos del 2014 y 2021, dejando saldo favorable para los paisas, ya que en la primera en mención hubo empate 2-2 en Medellín y victoria visitante 0-1 en Montevideo, mientras que en la segunda oportunidad que se encontraron hubo empates 4-4 en el Centenario y 0-0 en el Atanasio Girardot.
Por eso, se esperaba un partido intenso, entre 2 equipos con historial en Libertadores y muchas obligaciones con sus aficiones. Además, los nombres de peso en cada plantel, como los de David Ospina, William Tesillo, Jorman Campuzano, Edwin Cardona y Alfredo Morelos por los ‘verdolagas’, además de Sebastián Coates, Eduardo Vargas y Diego Herazo por ‘el bolso’, hacían presumir un partido muy interesante.
¿Cómo quedó Atlético Nacional vs. Nacional de Uruguay de fecha 1 de Copa Libertadores 2025?
Como se esperaba, Nacional de Medellín era el equipo con todo a favor para salir a buscar el marcador, pero Nacional de Montevideo también tenía lo suyo y en los primeros minutos hubo intercambio de jugadas de ataque, empezando por una de Marino Hinestroza para los locales y con respuesta del colombiano Diego Herazo para la visita. Pero la más clara fue del mismo Marino y la perdió de forma increíble cuando intentó pisarla para eludir al portero Luis Mejía.
Lo que parecía una pelea de poder a poder, con llegadas de los 2 equipos, poco a poco fue inclinándose a favor del equipo colombiano, ya que las llegadas eran más peligrosas y empezaron a aparecer variantes como los remates de media distancia y pases filtrados de Edwin Cardona.
Y a los 40 minutos el joven Hinestroza pudo romper la resistencia con su habilidad y atrevimiento para rematar con su pierna no hábil. Y es que el extremo enganchó desde la derecha hacia el centro, remató a ras de césped y venció la mano derecha de Mejía para poner el 1-0. Este pudo ser un golpe definitivo para los dirigidos, de forma interina, por Martín Ligüera.
En el segundo tiempo y cuando parecía que los charrúas iban a empezar a crear peligro en la portería de Ospina, una jugada rápida de Hinestroza por derecha y con centro para Kevin Viveros, terminó con el balón al fondo de la portería y dejando el 2-0 sobre los 55. Y es que el juego veloz de Atlético Nacional se convirtió en un arma muy eficaz cuando los rivales salían a buscar los resultados.
Ese tanto fue otro golpe para los visitantes, que intentaban llegar a un descuento, pero con pocos argumentos y muy lejos de poder lograrlo y pudo ser peor, ya que otro intento de Cardona volvía a estrellarse en el travesaño y parecía que se venía una goleada en el Atanasio.
Mientras ‘el bolso’ seguía con la intención de descontar, los ‘verdolagas’ le daban manejo al marcador y a los 72 llegó el 3-0. De nuevo apareció Marino Hinestroza, esta vez para centrar y facilitar el anticipo de Alfredo Morelos, que remató de sobrepique y mandaba el balón al fondo de la portería. Un marcador que en un principio parecía impensado, pero que poco a poco lo fue consolidando Nacional de Medellín con su juego ofensivo.
El remate del partido fue para que los cambios refrescaran la nómina de Javier Gandolfi, para que el público reconociera los buenos rendimientos de Cardona, Morelos, Viveros y de la gran figura, el joven Marino Hinestroza. Con goleada y contundencia, el campeón de Liga, Copa y Superliga en Colombia dio su primer paso en busca de la tercera Copa Libertadores de su historia.
