Las condiciones climatológicas en el Gran Premio de Japón dan un giro de 180 grados para el resto del fin de semana. Si los Libres 1 y 2 se disputaron con sol y buena temperatura, el sábado y el domingo hay un cambio en la previsión que los equipos ya manejan y esperan en Suzuka.
El sábado (madrugada en España) se espera un Libre 3 (4.30 de la mañana) con 13 grados de temperatura ambiente y nublado, mientras en la clasificación habrá 15 grados, con algo más de viento, hasta los 11 km/h y también en seco, pues hay un 0% de probabilidad de lluvia en casi todas las horas. En todo caso, las condiciones parecen muy buenas para Mercedes y también para Aston Martin, dos de los equipos que mejor calientan las gomas de la parrilla (o al menos lo hacían en 2024), pero no los únicos, pues RB parece muy bueno este año en ese aspecto.

Pero es el domingo donde llegan las complicaciones, en una previsión parecida a la que había en Australia para la primera carrera de 2025. Lloverá en la madrugada de Suzuka de forma insistente hasta las 12.00 horas, pero durante la carrera, sobre las 14.00 (07.00 horas en España) podría haber chubascos ocasionales, algo muy similar a lo sucedió en Albert Park.
Será otra carrera de sobrevivir, de no cometer errores, de esperar el momento oportuno para entrar en boxes y de que no haya fallos graves de estrategia. Simplemente acabar puede suponer un gran botín de puntos, como pasó el Melbourne.
Los equipos tiene en mente estos cambios para el domingo y van a tratar de ajustar los coches para la posible lluvia (aunque los cambios son mínimos en realidad), en lugar de para una calificación que no tendrá tanta importancia en un trazado tan de piloto y particular como Suzuka, una prueba de fuego en seco y mucho más en mojado. Raikkonen o Button de estarían frotando las manos.
