James le lanza el guayo al árbitro en un ataque de rabia

Lejos, muy lejos del equipo que empezó sumando 26 puntos en 10 puntos y que era líder invicto de la Liga MX Clausura 2025, el León no ha podido ganar en los últimos 4 partidos y se nota en el ánimo del técnico Eduardo ‘Toto’ Berizzo, del capitán James Rodríguez y de los demás jugadores. Y aunque en la noche del viernes 4 de abril lograron empatar con Querétaro en la fecha 14, frenando la mala racha de 3 victorias, siguen las dudas sobre el equipo verde.

Ahora, con 27 unidades y 3 jornadas pendientes para terminar la fase regular de la primera división mexicana, parece que no se va a dar el liderato, ya que el América sigue arriba en la tabla y está mucho más firme en el juego y en los resultados. Por eso, el ambiente ha cambiado en ‘la Fiera’, sin olvidar el escándalo por la sanción de FIFA que implicó su salida del Mundial de Clubes 2025 y la espera que implicará el proceso en el TAS (Tribunal Arbitral del Deporte) para revertir esta situación.

Y en el caso de James, a pesar de que se mostró más conectado y protagonista que en los últimos partidos con León y con la Selección Colombia, no fue suficiente su participación. El zurdo puso la asistencia en el gol de la ventaja parcial, intentó una y otra vez buscar un tanto de media distancia y fue clave en la pelota quieta, pero terminó estallando ante el juego fuerte de sus rivales.

¿Cómo jugó James Rodríguez en Querétaro 1-1 León de la fecha 14 de liga MX Clausura 2025?

El encuentro en el estadio Corregidora inició con acercamientos en las 2 áreas, pero la primera oportunidad clara fue un remate de media distancia de Rodríguez y la resistencia del portero Jorge Hernández. Aunque Querétaro esperaba hacer respetar su casa, siguió siendo más peligroso el León y perdonaron varias veces con remates, llegadas y definiciones de John Steven Mendoza, Jhonder Cádiz y Jaine Stiven Barreiro.

Eso sí, el más claro e importante para los ataques era James, que filtraba pases, ponía centros y siempre estaba mandando balones de riesgos desde el costado derecho. Y a los 30 minutos llegó el buen centro del capitán de la Selección Colombia, el intento de cabezazo de Rodrigo Echeverría y la aparición por detrás de Salvador Reyes para controlar y rematar cruzado para el 1-0.

Hasta ese momento y por lo que hacía James, era un marcador justo y el local poco había producido, pero de inmediato empezaron los ataques del Querétaro y empezó a perdonar, haciendo figura al portero Óscar Jiménez. El primer tiempo se iba con un último remate de James de media distancia, otra atajada de Hernández y las mejores sensaciones para la visita.

Pero antes del pitazo para el descanso del juez Maximiliano Quintero, después de una jugada de marca endeble y poca resistencia del León, llegó el empate de Aldahir Pérez y fue un duro golpe para Berizzo y sus dirigidos. Además, no se puede dejar de lado que hubo muchas faltas sobre James Rodríguez y el árbitro pocas medidas disciplinarias tomó.

La segunda mitad fue más cortada, con menos acciones de gol en gran parte de los minutos y una mayor presencia de Querétaro en actitud ofensiva, esto obligó a que James jugara más abajo en el campo y que siguieran bajándolo con faltas, patadas, juego fuerte y escalonamiento de marca muy recio. Tanta fue la frustración del ’10’ que a los 72 recibió una falta en el medio de la cancha, se quitó el guayo del pie derecho y ante la falta de tarjeta del juez central, Rodríguez revoleó su guayo muy cerca de él.

Parecía que era una expulsión fija, por irrespeto a la autoridad y reacción agresiva, pero el árbitro Maximiliano Quintero solo le sacó amarilla al colombiano, que de forma sarcástica le respondió, le hizo gestos y aplaudió sin pena. Esto pudo haberle significado una segunda amonestación, pero la falta de criterio del mismo Quintero llevó a dejar pasar el irrespeto, así como había dejado pasar el juego duro.

No es el primer enojo de Rodríguez, ye se le ha visto frustrado por las derrotas anteriores y con actitudes que han sido criticadas, pero esta vez, los señalamientos empezaron a darse por un comportamiento negativo contra la autoridad, más allá de si le cometieron faltas o había juego fuerte en su contra.

Volviendo al partido, León estuvo cerca de perder el partido por las ya conocidas fallas en marca que se ven en el fútbol mexicano, en el que se prioriza el juego ofensivo y la exigencia defensiva no es tan alta. Pero Querétaro perdonó y el empate 1-1 se mantuvo hasta el final. Así, ‘la Fiera’ se mantuvo en la tercera casilla, detrás de América y Toluca, mientras su rival de turno siguió en las posiciones bajas de la tabla.

La mala racha de James Rodríguez en León y la Selección Colombia

Después del partido entre León 2-1 Tijuana del 1 de marzo pasado, válido por la fecha 10 de la Liga MX Clausura 2025, James Rodríguez no ha vuelto a mostrar el juego alegre y efectivo en el campo con León de Guanajuato y esto lo trasladó a los partidos recientes de la Selección Colombia por Eliminatorias al Mundial 2026. Han sido 4 partidos en México y 2 con ‘la Tricolor’, en los que no han llegado victorias y cada vez es más clara la frustración del capitán.

Infortunadamente, cuando llegan estos momentos complicados, se reviven fantasmas del pasado y lo que terminó sacando al colombiano de sus clubes anteriores: Real Madrid, Bayern München, Everton, Al Rayyan, Olympiakos, São Paulo y Rayo Vallecano. El siguiente reto será contra Puebla el 12 de abril próximo, tiempo suficiente para que el zurdo se recupere física y anímicamente de cara al remate de la fase regular en la Liga MX. Siempre esperando saber lo que pasará con el Mundial de Clubes y el castigo de FIFA.

Pero con la Selección Colombia hay que esperar mucho, hasta junio, cuando llegue el doblete para enfrentar a Perú en casa y a Argentina de visita. Y mientras llega ese momento, James tendrá que calmarse y afrontar las críticas que lo señalan desde la prensa colombiana por su bajón y el de todo el equipo dirigido por Néstor Lorenzo.
