Simone Biles is living her best life on and off the mat. After wrapping up a season as her husband Jonathan Owens‘ biggest cheerleader on the NFL sidelines, Biles is now back home and putting her signature sparkle on spring.
The couple kicked off April with a long-awaited honeymoon in South Africa, a trip that blended romance and adventure in equal measure. From gourmet feasts to safari snapshots and helicopter rides over Table Mountain, the newlyweds made sure their first post-wedding vacation was unforgettable.
Simone, who married Owens in 2023, shared glimpses of their breathtaking journey, and fans couldn’t get enough of the loving, joy-filled moments between the gymnast and the Chicago Bears safety.
From safari adventures to NBA courtside glow
But just days after jet-setting through the wilds of Africa, Biles was back in the U.S. and already switching gears. She received a nomination for the Laureus World Sportswoman of the Year, further affirming her status as a global icon. Whether on the mat, at the podium, or halfway across the world, Biles continues to raise the bar.
Most recently, though, she swapped hiking boots for thigh-highs and made her way to an NBA game for a courtside date night with Owens.
The two were spotted at the Houston Rockets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder game, where they served major couple goals. Simone rocked a sleek Balenciaga jacket shirt paired with striking boots, while Jonathan kept his look effortlessly casual in a brown tee and ripped jeans.
As the game played on, Simone took to Instagram Stories to share her excitement-first with a video of the packed stadium, then with an endearing moment that’s won the internet.
“Mini clutch is so freakin cute,” she wrote, referring to the Rockets’ beloved mascot, Clutch the Bear.
Whether it was a plush toy or a pint-sized version of the crowd-hyping bear, it clearly stole Biles’ heart for the night.
