En mitad de la tensión que ha generado el próximo desembarco de la NBA en Europa de la mano de FIBA, la expansión de la Euroliga se antoja inminente. Paulius Motiejunas, director ejecutivo de la Euroliga, se refirió a Emiratos Árabes Unidos como “un nuevo mercado. Necesitamos ser creativos y ver cómo extender los valores fuera de Europa”. El presidente de la Virtus, Massimo Zanetti, fue más allá y recientemente dio por hecha la entrada del club.
Así que en Dubái se han puesto manos a la obra para construir un equipo potente de cara a su posible estreno en la Euroliga y uno de los jugadores en los que se han fijado es el de Dzanan Musa. El escolta bosnio finaliza su contrato con el Real Madrid, todavía no ha renovado y existen dudas razonables sobre su continuidad. En los Emiratos quieren juntarle con Dario Saric, al que también pretenden.

El jugador madridista de 25 años y 2,05 metros es uno de los principales objetivos de conjunto de Dubái, pero no es el único pretendiente si finalmente acaba siendo libre el próximo verano. Otra opción es que Musa continuara en el conjunto blanco. En los despachos del Madrid no lo tienen claro. No por su calidad, que es innegable, sino por su escasa aportación en algunas citas importantes. Su mal papel en la Copa del Rey, aunque llegó tocado, aumentó las dudas al respecto. Los madridistas tienen la aspiración de fichar a Theo Maledon, que podría ocupar su lugar.

Además, el escolta bosnio habría pedido un importante aumento de sueldo para renovar y con los elevados contratos de Walter Tavares y Mario Hezonja después de sus respectivas continuidades el verano pasado ya se va una buena porción de la partida de salarios.
Desde que finalizara la Copa, el jugador bosnio, ya en plenitud física, ha aumentado sus prestaciones y ha rendido a gran nivel en algunos encuentros trascendentales para las aspiraciones del Madrid. En la Liga Endesa está promediando 13,0 puntos y en la Euroliga se queda en 12,6. Si queda libre, será un pez gordo en el lago del mercado.
