Está claro que el fútbol está experimentando un gran crecimiento, y esto es en gran parte gracias a la Selección Femenina de Fútbol y a su gran hito conseguido en el año en el año 2023, con la consecución del título de campeonas del mundo.
Sin embargo, la brecha con el fútbol masculino sigue siendo muy amplia, y aunque son varios los derechos que se han ido consiguiendo en la práctica de este deporte en las secciones femeninas todavía queda un largo camino por recorrer.
Pese a ello, siempre hay algunas voces críticas, como es el caso de Javier Poves, que en una entrevista en ‘El partidazo de Cope’, en la emisora de radio Cope, hizo esta reflexión acerca del fútbol femenino y los salarios: “Es como si yo ahora me hago periodista, monto un medio de comunicación y me presento aquí y digo que yo quiero ganar exactamente igual que tú (…) Además, creo que choca frontalmente el mundo del fútbol de la mujer que tenga ser subvencionado o ayudado cuando una de las premisas fundamentales del feminismo es no ser sostenidas por nada, es decir, ser autosuficientes. Lo que no puede pretender el fútbol femenino es que sea sostenido y mantenido con el dinero de los demás. Yo estoy muy a favor del fútbol femenino, pero que las fiestas las paguen ellas”.

Muchas personalidades se han pronunciado acerca de estas palabras de Javer Poves y una de ellas ha sido la actriz Elisa Mouliaá, que ha contestado al exfutbolista a través de su cuenta en la red social X con esta publicación: “El fútbol femenino no se sostiene con el dinero de los demás se sostiene con paciencia, con coraje y con la fe de quienes nunca fueron portada. Al masculino lo sostienen décadas de marketing, modas, ídolos tatuados en las mochilas de los niños. ¿Cómo va a competir algo nuevo si nunca le dieron el mismo valor? Lo que falta no es talento, es foco. Y el foco, cuando se reparte, enciende revoluciones”.
Por último, la actriz terminó con esta reflexión: “Antes de 2020, ver un partido femenino en La 1 era algo impensable. Hoy es una realidad. Y eso no es una concesión: es justicia en movimiento”.
