Browns QB Dillon Gabriel should be getting some of the attention paid to Shedeur Sanders

The Cleveland Browns have been looking for a quarterback for more than a quarter century. They might have drafted a viable option. It's just not the draft pick everyone is talking about.Shedeur Sanders is a rare story, a fifth-round pick who has overshadowed every other player selected in the draft. That includes his teammate drafted two rounds earlier, Dillon Gabriel.AdvertisementAdvertisementAdvertisementThat has made for a very strange situation in which Gabriel played well in the preseason and nobody seems to care. All anyone wants to talk about is the player behind Gabriel on the depth chart (and who has been behind Gabriel on the depth chart since they were both drafted). On another team, perhaps in another season, a third-round quarterback playing as well as Gabriel would have actually gotten some notice.Dillon Gabriel has a strong preseasonIt's telling that the most attention […]

The 20 teams that can make Super Bowl LX: Favorites, contenders and long shots

How to bet on the Broncos: Super Bowl odds, win total, props, best futures bets for Denver in 2025

After the failed Russell Wilson experiment, the Denver Broncos began 2024 with a rookie quarterback in Bo Nix, who the team selected with the 12th overall pick in last year's draft. Many saw it as a reach, even with Nix being the sixth quarterback taken. But Sean Payton saw Nix as an ideal fit for his system, and after a rough stretch to open his career, Nix flourished and led Denver to the postseason while finishing 10th in scoring, including six games with 30 or more points scored. Nix completed 66% of his passes with 29 touchdowns to 12 interceptions. The AFC West runs through Kansas City, and if Nix and Co. want to take the division crown from the Chiefs, the Broncos will need Nix to avoid the dreaded sophomore slump that's plagued so many young quarterbacks over the years, such as […]

We are a quarter of the way into the 21st century, which offers a nice milestone moment to look back on 25 years of NBA basketball since 2000. The century started with the Lakers' dynastic run led by Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal, but is currently in the longest stretch of parity the league's ever seen, with seven consecutive different champions. Eagles to waive OL Kenyon Green five months after trading for former first-round pick

USATSI The Philadelphia Eagles are making a notable roster move ahead of Tuesday's 53-man deadline by waiving offensive lineman Kenyon Green, according to CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz. The reigning Super Bowl champions traded for Green and a fifth-round pick in March in a deal that gave the Houston Texans safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and a sixth-round pick. Green was expected to compete for a backup guard spot but clearly did not make the kind of progress needed to keep a roster spot. While the Eagles appear set with their formidable starting five of Jordan Mailata, Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, Tyler Steen and Lane Johnson, they have been active in reshuffling some of their reserves on the offensive line. On Sunday, Philly made a total of three trades -- two of which included offensive linemen. The Eagles acquired offensive tackle Fred Johnson from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for a seventh-round pick, and then sent offensive tackle Darian Kinnard to the Green […]
