Desde que Antony chegou ao Betis, no começo do ano, tanto o jogador e a equipe tem enfrentado uma verdadeira ‘revolução’. O brasileiro, com seus gols, tem mantido o time na briga pelas primeiras posições de LaLiga e fazendo o time sonhar com voos mais altos, até mesmo pensando em vaga em copas europeias.
Vai ficar?
Cedido até o fim da temporada pelo Manchester United, o atacante ainda não tem sua situação definida. Mas no que depender do time andaluz, haverá um esforço para que o jogador possa ficar na equipe para por mais tempo, ainda que não tenha dado mais detalhes sobre como tentará convencer os Red Devils a permitir sua permanência.
“Estamos orgulhosos com o que conquistamos assinando com o Antony e trazendo ele ao Betis. Tentaremos tudo o que for possível para fazer com que ele permaneça na equipe para a próxima temporada”, disse o diretor da equipe, Manu Fajardo, segundo a Gazeta Esportiva.
Virada na carreira
Na equipe espanhola, o brasileiro fez, ao todo, quatro gols e ainda deu mais quatro assistências nas 13 partidas que fez em sua curta trajetória em Sevilha. Um panorama diferente do encontrado por Antony no Manchester United pelo atacante e que forçou a sua saída, ao final de 2024.
Com Rúben Amorim como treinador, uma série de rusgas envolvendo o jogador aconteceram, com o técnico fazendo declarações críticas ao brasileiro por não ter conseguido se adaptar a Old Trafford e o agente do atacante rebatendo o fato do ex-São Paulo e Ajax ter tido poucas chances de entrar em campo por parte do português.
Os Red Devils ainda não indicaram o que farão com Antony ao final do empréstimo ao Betis e nem se devem acatar uma tentativa de extensão do vínculo por parte dos andaluzes.
