David Alaba o Fran García esa es la principal duda que mantiene Carlo Ancelotti para el partido del martes ante el Arsenal en la ida de los cuartos de final de la Champions League. Sin Ferland Mendy un partido más, el técnico madridista medita entre la experiencia del austriaco o la forma del canterano, con más opciones para Alaba, que en el partido ante el Valencia se dejó ver por el lateral izquierdo durante algunos minutos.

A cada partido, un puzzle nuevo. Así son las alineaciones del Real Madrid. En cada encuentro toca inventar debido al número de bajas que se acumulan jornada tras jornada. Para la cita de Londres todo hacía indicar que podían recuperarse alguno de los jugadores que están de baja tipo Ceballos o Mendy, pero nada de eso.

Con Courtois, pero sin Lunin que será baja un tiempo

Tan solo Courtois es el que aparece en la lista de convocados, eso sí, en detrimento de Lunin, lesionado para varias semanas pese a lo de ser convocado ante el Valencia, que se une a la lista de bajas, aunque el pasado sábado se sentara en el banquillo a manera testimonial. A los lesionados se les unen en esta ocasión la baja por sanción de Tchouameni. 

Sin contar al ya asentado Asencio, son seis los jugadores de la cantera que aparecen en la convocatoria para el primero de los partidos ante el equipo de Arteta. Fran González, Sergio Mestre, Jacobo, Lorenzo, Chema y Gonzalo son los que completan una convocatoria que tan solo forman 16 jugadores del primer equipo, circunstancia que limita bastante la capacidad de maniobra.

Con Courtois recuperado, pero sin estar en plenitud de forma, su presencia en la portería segura. Valverde, que regresará  a la defensa, Rüdiger, Asencio y Fran García darán forma a la defensa, con Camavinga, Modric y Bellingham en el centro del campo, con Rodrygo, Mbappé y Vinicius en ataque. No hay mucho más.

Jugadores al límite de lo físico

La cantidad de lesiones que arrastra el equipo durante toda la temporada está llevando al límite a muchos jugadores. Asencio, Rodrygo y Vinicius llevan sufriendo avisos físicos en los últimos partidos, tanto como para pedir no jugar la prórroga ante la Real Sociedad. De hecho el canterano no jugó ante el Valencia, Rodrygo fue suplente y Vinicius no lo completó.

Lo cierto es que llega el momento decisivo de la temporada, y a diferencia de ejercicios anteriores, la plenitud física del grupo no está alcanzada por culpa de las lesiones y los largos procesos de recuperación. El once que presente el Real Madrid en el Emirates no será ni mucho menos el mejor posible, pero de lo que nadie duda es que los que aparezcan no darán todo y mostrarán la mejor versión que esté a su alcance.
