La derrota ante el Valencia del sábado por la tarde en el Santiago Bernabéu ha sido de las que más ha dolido en el vestuario del Real Madrid. Ni el empate del Barcelona ante el Betis, que dejaba la situación más o menos igual en LaLiga cara al tramo decisivo, alivió a los jugadores madridistas. Sentía decepción por lo hecho ante la afición, que no dudó en reprobar públicamente el rendimiento de sus jugadores.
El panorama no era el mejor para preparar un partido como el del martes ante el Arsenal. Tuvo que ser Carlo Ancelotti el que el domingo alzara la voz y le recordara a todos que no había nada perdido, que todavía está todo al alcance de la mano y que una vez más todo dependerá de las ganas que pongan sobre el verde en los próximos partidos.
La Champions League no permite relajación ni descuido alguno y de nada vale acordarse de lo sucedido ante el Valencia y así se lo intentó hacer ver el técnico a los suyos antes del entrenamiento del domingo. Hoy sobre el mismo césped del Emirates lo volverá a recordar. Quiere que los jugadores entiendan que LaLiga no está perdida y que no debe restarles ni una ápice de energía cara al desafío de la competición europea.
El grupo quedó muy tocado. Saben que han perdido una oportunidad de oro de acercarse a la conquista de LaLiga o por lo menos de meter presión al Barcelona y todavía no entienden cómo pudieron llegar a los minutos finales sin resolver el partido.

Es cierto que la Champions lo cambia todo, pero el entrenador ha tenido que animar y motivar a los suyos tras el inesperado palo sufrido. No entraba en cálculo alguno. La dinámica estaba siendo buena, pero lo visto sobre el césped en cuanto a juego apuntaba a que algo malo estaba en camino.
Ante esta situación había que actuar y el cuerpo técnico lo hizo, con un mensaje directo antes de empezar el trabajo del domingo. No vale el lamento y sí pensar en que todo se puede vestir de blanco. Pidió un penúltimo esfuerzo para olvidar lo sucedido en Valencia, recordando, de paso, lo que está en camino, empezando por el Arsenal.
