Es hätte das Märchen von Thomas Müller werden können – doch Inter war am Ende eiskalt. Die Bayern stehen vor dem Aus in der Champions League!

Für Müller ist die Nichtberücksichtigung die größtmögliche Demütigung. Und durch den Neuer-Ausfall (Faserriss in der rechten Wade) wäre er sogar als Kapitän aufgelaufen. Doch die Hoffnungen & Erwartungen zahlreicher Bayern-Fans wurden enttäuscht.
Doch auch ohne Müller starten die Bayern zunächst dominant, verballern aber beste Chancen. Unfassbar: Kane schießt freistehend vor Sommer nur an den Pfosten (26.). Das hätte das 1:0 sein MÜSSEN – und sollte sich knapp zehn Minuten später bitter rächen.
38. Minute: Eine flache Hereingabe legt Thuram perfekt an den Sechzehner auf Martinez ab, der den Ball traumhaft schön per Außenrist ins Netz knallt – 1:0 für Inter.
Nach der Pause müllert es doch noch. Als Müller eingewechselt wird (74. für Sané), erhebt sich das gesamte Stadion – und er zeigt, dass er es noch kann. Nach Laimer-Vorarbeit drückt Müller die Kugel zum 1:1 (85.) ins Netz. Ekstase im Stadion! Was eine Geschichte!
Doch keine drei Minuten später versaut Frattesi das Müller-Märchen, trifft zum 2:1 (88.) für Inter und sorgt für die erste Heimpleite der Bayern in der Königsklasse nach 22 ungeschlagenen Spielen. Die letzte Pleite gab‘s am 7. April 2021 (2:3 gegen PSG).
Und so müssen die Bayern das Rückspiel kommende Woche (16. April) in Mailand gewinnen. Sonst ist der Traum vom Finale dahoam geplatzt – und für Thomas Müller war diese Partie tatsächlich sein letzter ganz großer Auftritt im Bayern-Trikot in der Allianz Arena.
