Two days following the conclusion of the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament, what happened in the National Championship still feels surreal. The Houston Cougars controlled the game for nearly the entire duration, but a late collapse was made possible by a gritty and resilient Florida Gators squad. Making matters worse for the Cougars was a stunning development right after the final whistle blew.
Houston guard Milos Uzan was walking down the tunnel after the game ended. It was harsh enough that several phone cameras were fixated on him, but then came an unnamed woman running after him frantically. She was desperately trying to get him to walk on the other side of the railing. What didn’t sit right with viewers was how she grabbed him by the jersey.

Another worker on the other side tells her “right now, let him be“. They then let Uzan go on his way, with his hands over his head after a crushing loss. Several fans on social media called her out for it.
- “Why does she feel like she has the right to put her hands on him like that? Completely ridiculous and extremely disrespectful when considering the circumstances.”
- “For someone who used to work in game operations, he was walking on the Florida side. She was trying to put him back over on Houston side. Even then I wouldn’t have touched the player. Come on lol.”
- “She’s lucky he didn’t react to her. Give him space to process the moment. Incredibly inconsiderate. I can only imagine how people would react if a man grabbed a woman like that to get a story.”
Many thought she was a reporter, but in reality it appeared like she was working in game operations. Whether she was employed by the NCAA or the Alamodome itself, it’s a bad look all around.
