Simone Biles is back in vacation mode-this time opting for a sun-soaked escape with her closest friends, just weeks after returning from her honeymoon with NFL star Jonathan Owens.
The world-renowned gymnast, known for both her athletic brilliance and globe-trotting lifestyle, took to Instagram over the weekend to give fans a sneak peek into her latest getaway.
Her post, captioned “never in one place too long,” included a cozy travel fit mirror selfie, a glimpse of a basketball game streaming on her laptop mid-flight, and scenic views from high above the clouds.
While Biles initially kept her destination under wraps, the mystery didn’t last long. Soon after landing, she updated her followers with a carousel of tropical snaps-revealing she had touched down in the Bahamas for a quick girls’ trip.
Simone brings effortless style to island life
In her follow-up post, the 27-year-old athlete offered a window into the fun-filled island retreat. “Quick trip w/ the girls,” she wrote alongside the photos, which showcased her signature radiant style.
Wearing colorful swimsuits and breezy resort wear, Biles was pictured laughing with friends, soaking up the sunshine, and unwinding in one of the Caribbean’s most beautiful destinations. Fans flooded the comment section with praise, calling her “a ray of sunshine” and “vacation goals.”
While her husband Jonathan Owens, now a safety with the Chicago Bears, did not appear in the photos, there’s no indication of trouble in paradise.
In fact, the couple recently returned from a breathtaking honeymoon in South Africa, where they visited wildlife reserves and posed together on safari.
The Bahamas getaway seems to be a short break with friends before Biles ramps up for whatever comes next-whether it’s training, endorsements, or more appearances.
A well-deserved break after a whirlwind year
Simone Biles’ 2024 was a year of both triumph and transition. She returned to international competition with her usual dominance, sparking speculation of another Olympic run, and capped off the year by marrying Owens in two ceremonies-one in a Texas courthouse and another lavish celebration in Cabo San Lucas.
