Flavio Ricco deu sua opinião sobre o assunto que tem movimentado a mídia esportiva nestas últimas 24 horas: o afastamento de seis jornalistas do Linha de Passe da ESPN.

“Essa atitude da ESPN é outra facada nas costas do jornalismo esportivo.”, escreveu de maneira taxativa, o experiente jornalista em sua coluna no Portal Leo Dias.

Em outro momento do texto, Ricco defendeu os afastados chamando atenção para a experiência de todos na profissão.

“Trata-se de um grupo de jornalistas experientes, que sabem muito bem como tratar com responsabilidade todos os assuntos.”, argumentou o colunista. A ESPN ainda não se manifestou, oficialmente, sobre o caso.

Os jornalistas afastados devem retornar na edição desta quinta-feira (10) ao Linha de Passe.

Profissionais são tema de apoio de federação

A Fenaj (Federação Nacional dos Jornalistas) emitiu uma nota oficial de apoio aos profissionais dos canais Disney.

“O Sindicato dos Jornalistas Profissionais no Estado de São Paulo (SJSP) e a Federação Nacional dos Jornalistas (FENAJ) manifestam veemente repúdio ao inaceitável afastamento, pela TV ESPN, de seis jornalistas do programa “Linha de Passe”, em decorrência da atuação desses profissionais na edição levada ao ar na última segunda-feira (7 de abril). Nessa data o programa repercutiu as denúncias publicadas pela revista piauí contra a gestão de Ednaldo Rodrigues na Confederação Brasileira de Futebol (CBF).”, escreve a entidade de classe.

Quem são os jornalistas afastados

O diretor do programa Dimas Coppede está na ESPN, desde julho de 2010, e dirigiu outras atrações na casa como o extinto Bate-Bola.

William Tavares, apresentador da atração, já foi narrador na emissora onde está desde 2011. Além da ESPN, ele tem passagens pela TV Tribuna (afiliada da Globo), Record e rádios da cidade de Santos.

Talvez um dos mais experientes jornalistas do canal, Paulo Calçade está na emissora, desde os anos 90, com pequenas passagens na Band e Record como comentarista.

Outro que foi afastado foi Vitor Birner. O profissional, tem em seu currículo, passagens por CBN e TV Cultura. Nesta última foi um dos componentes do Cartão Verde.

Gian Oddi está na ESPN, desde 2009, onde também comenta partidas do Campeonato Italiano tendo trabalhado na Revista Placar e no portal IG.

Por fim, Pedro Ivo Almeida chegou a ESPN em 2019. Carioca, o jornalista trabalhou nas redações do UOL, Rádio Bandeirantes (RJ), além dos jornais O Povo e Jornal dos Sports.
