Savannah James continues to be a steady and supportive presence for her children, just as husband LeBron James dominates headlines on the basketball court. On Wednesday, it was their youngest child, 10-year-old Zhuri Nova James, who stole the spotlight.
In a post shared to Instagram, Savannah posted a short video of Zhuri showcasing her budding volleyball skills. The clip captured a pivotal moment: Zhuri delivered a precise, well-placed serve that resulted in an ace-an unreturnable ball that clinched the win for her team.
“For the win,” Savannah wrote in the caption, summing up the importance of the play and her pride in the moment.
Zhuri James is already making waves in sports
Though still just 10 years old, Zhuri is gaining valuable experience and confidence on the volleyball court. She joined the City Volleyball Club in late 2023, and it didn’t take long for her presence to be felt. LeBron himself was the first to break the news of his daughter’s athletic leap, celebrating the milestone on Instagram.
“YOU GO GIRL!!!!!! @allthingszhuri LET’S GO BABY Z!!” LeBron wrote at the time, as proud as any father would be watching their daughter step into the competitive sports world.
Zhuri‘s passion for volleyball marks a slight detour from the basketball-heavy legacy of the James family, but it’s clear she’s found her own lane. Her impressive serve, delivered under pressure, is evidence of her potential and poise beyond her years.
While the spotlight often shines on her older brothers, Zhuri is quietly building her own story-one point, one serve at a time.
Zhuri isn’t the only James child turning heads in the athletic world. Her older brothers have taken more familiar paths, following in their father’s basketball footsteps.
Bronny James, 19, was drafted 55th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft and is currently wrapping up his rookie season as a pro. Despite the intense scrutiny that comes with being LeBron’s son, Bronny has handled the spotlight with grace and poise as he begins his professional journey.
Bryce James, meanwhile, is preparing for his next chapter at Arizona, after showing standout talent during his time at Sierra Canyon, one of the top high school basketball programs in the country.
