South Carolina standout guard MiLaysia Fulwiley is entering the transfer portal, according to multiple reports on Friday.

Fulwiley was South Carolina’s second-leading scorer this season with an 11.7 average in 39 games off the bench. She was named Southeastern Conference Sixth Woman of the Year and earned second-team all-conference honors.

Fulwiley averaged 18.9 minutes per game and shot 42.6 percent from the field but just 25.8 percent from 3-point range. She recorded a team-leading 60 steals and was second with 30 blocked shots.

The 5-foot-10 Fulwiley played high school basketball in Columbia, the same town in which the Gamecocks are located.

South Carolina won the national title during Fulwiley’s freshman season. However, this season, the Gamecocks were torched 82-59 by UConn in the title game.

Crystal Palace needs saving… Could Woody Johnson or Jimmy Butler be a hero?

<!--> Crystal Palace is in trouble, but the English Premier League club could be saved by a few heroes from different places. After defeating Manchester City on May 17 to win the FA Cup, Crystal Palace earned its first-ever major trophy, and with that, an automatic bid into the 2025-26 UEFA Europa League tournament. However, the club may not be allowed to compete in the Europa League because one of its minority stakeholders, John Textor, also owns a majority stake in the Ligue 1 team Lyon. Jets’ CB Sauce Gardner addresses potential extension while attending minicamp: ‘I want to win’

Getty Images New York Jets star cornerback Sauce Gardner is now eligible for a contract extension, but he wasn't interested in holding out of mandatory minicamp to put pressure on the franchise that selected him No. 4 overall back in 2022. Gardner wanted to show everyone he's more focused on winning games in 2025. "I just wanted to show my teammates, show the coaches how much I'm bought into this" Gardner told reporters on Thursday. "I want to win. I want to be a part of changing the organization." The Jets technically hold Gardner's rights for two more years. According to Spotrac, he's set to make $5.3 million in 2025, then $20.2 million in 2026 on the fifth-year option if it comes down to that. Gardner was asked if he was optimistic a deal would get done, and he responded in the affirmative. "My […]

Twins’ rotation problems grow as Bailey Ober struggles with hip issue, mechanics

MINNEAPOLIS — Pitching with diminished velocity Thursday for a third straight start, Minnesota Twins right-hander Bailey Ober failed to make it out of the fifth inning and surrendered seven runs — including career highs of four homers and six walks allowed — in a 16-3 loss to the Texas Rangers. After losing two of three games to the Rangers while being outscored 34-13, the Twins have dropped four of their last five series. And they have a 10-12 record overall since the 13-game winning streak ended May 18, posting a combined 5.22 ERA as a pitching staff during that span.AdvertisementBut as underwhelming as this stretch has been, Ober’s lack of effectiveness could be a far bigger problem for a starting rotation that already lost Pablo López and Zebby Matthews to shoulder injuries in the past 10 days. Instead of helping to […]
