Vor 13 Jahren hat Lothar Matthäus (64) als TV-Experte bei Sky begonnen. Am vergangenen Samstag verkündete der Pay-TV-Sender, was SPORT BILD-Leser schon seit dem 5. Februar wussten: Der Rekordnationalspieler hat seinen Vertrag über die Saison hinaus verlängert.
Beim Bundesliga-Topspiel des FC Bayern gegen Dortmund (2:2) gab es deshalb schon vor dem Anpfiff hinter den Kulissen Schampus – den Sky-Chefredakteur Alexander Rösner in der Teamsitzung an den Weltmeister von 1990 überreichte.

So läuft ein ganzer Matthäus-Tag bei Sky!
15.08 Uhr: Vor seiner Münchner Wohnung steigt der Weltmeister von 1990 in seinen Audi-SUV. Er fährt knapp zehn Minuten später los als geplant. „Ich habe noch Stabilisationsübungen gemacht. Keine Geräte, nur auf der Matte und mit Kurzhanteln. Dabei habe ich die 2. Bundesliga geschaut“, erklärt er.
Morgens war der TV-Experte schon eine Stunde joggen im Englischen Garten. Matthäus ist topfit.

Auf der Fahrt zum Stadion tätigt er immer die letzten Anrufe: „Auch beim ein oder anderen Trainer kann man sich im Vorfeld noch die letzten Infos einholen, die man später erzählen kann.“

Im Gespräch über Thomas Müller (35) ist Matthäus so vertieft, dass er sogar die Ausfahrt zur Allianz Arena verpasst. Macht nichts – über die A99 fährt die Mittelfeld-Legende von der anderen Seite zum Stadion und es bleibt mehr Zeit, um mit SPORT BILD über das Müller-Aus nach 25 Jahren beim FC Bayern zu sprechen.
