Hartes Training für Olympia – Lindsey Vonn zeigt „heiße Prellungen“

Ohne Fleiß kein Preis! Der Winter ist zwar vorbei, aber Ski-Star Lindsey Vonn (40) trainiert dennoch hart weiter.

Die US-Amerikanerin ist derzeit im Frühlingstrainingslager auf der Schwemmalm (Südtirol), will dort den Grundstein für die kommende Saison und ihr großes Ziel, die Olympischen Winterspiele 2026 in Mailand und Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italien) legen.

Und das geht nicht ohne Blessuren über die Bühne, wie Vonn jetzt in einer Instagram-Story zeigte. In einem kurzen Video präsentierte sie ihren Followern zahlreichen blaue Flecken auf ihrem Körper, dazu schrieb sie: „Heiße Prellungen vom Training.“

Der Ski-Star nahm es aber locker und lächelte fröhlich in die Kamera. Schließlich hat Vonn schon Schlimmeres erlebt. Aufgrund zahlreicher schwerer Verletzungen hatte sie im Februar 2019 ihre Karriere beendet.

Damals sagte sie, ihr Körper sei „broken beyond repair“. Also so kaputt, dass man ihn nicht mehr reparieren könne. „Er schreit mir zu, ich solle stoppen. Es ist an der Zeit für mich, zuzuhören.“ In einem Interview mit SPORT BILD gestand sie später: „Ich werde in meinem Leben nie wieder schmerzfrei sein. Ich werde aber besser darin, damit umzugehen.“

[–>Mittlerweile hat Vonn ein teilweise künstliches Kniegelenk und ist in den Ski-Zirkus zurückgekehrt. Ihr Comeback im vergangenen Winter wurde von vielen als PR-Gag abgetan. Ski-Legende Markus Wasmeier (61) beispielsweise kritisierte Vonn bei Sport1: „Meiner Meinung nach ist das nur eine Show. Das grenzt an Verarschung.“

Wasmeier warnte: „In der Regel ist es saugefährlich, wenn du solche Aktionen machst und dann auch noch in den Speed-Disziplinen fährst. Ganz ehrlich: Wenn du nicht weiter völlig fit bleibst, fällt dir alles nicht mehr so leicht. Du bist auch nicht mehr so reaktionsfähig wie ein 25-Jähriger.“

Doch die Abfahrts-Olympiasiegerin von 2010 lieferte ab, holte sich beim Weltcup-Finale in Sun Valley (USA) mit einem zweiten Platz im Super-G sogar eine Podiumsplatzierung.

Jetzt geht sie die Olympia-Vorbereitung an und fühlt sich fit wie noch nie. „Ich war zu dieser Jahreszeit noch nie gesund genug, um daran (am Frühlingstrainingslager) teilzunehmen (…) Wie sich die Dinge doch geändert haben!“, schrieb sie bei Instagram.
