Mais um brasileiro deverá se aventurar comandando times do futebol sul-americano. Nesta semana, o Sporting Cristal anunciou Paulo Autuori como seu novo treinador para a sequência da temporada, até o fim de 2026.

Detalhes da chegada
A contratação foi acertada nos últimos e se valeu da boa relação do treinador com o diretor esportivo da equipe peruana, Henry Zevallos. Além disto, também pesou uma passagem de sucesso do brasileiro pela equipe, esta em 2002, quando venceu o Apertura e o Clausura da liga local.
“É com prazer que anunciamos que Paulo Autuori será treinador do Sporting Cristal até dezembro de 2026. Campeão em 2002, ele retorna a La Florida para contribuir com sua experiência e o trabalho à frente da equipe”, diz a nota de anúncio do treinador.
Rival do Palmeiras
Autuori vinha demonstrando deixar de lado o cargo de treinador para ter experiências como dirigente. A mais recente delas foi em 2024, quando deixou o Athletico-PR, onde era diretor técnico. No ano anterior, quando comandou o Cruzeiro em algumas partidas daquela temporada, foi seu último trabalho em que exerceu o comando de times dentro de campo
O brasileiro também treinou no passado o Alianza Lima (em 2001) e a seleção peruana, esta entre 2003 e 2005. Agora de volta ao futebol do país, comandará a equipe na Libertadores, na qual o Sporting Cristal está no mesmo grupo do Palmeiras, tendo já sido derrotado pelo Verdão por 3 a 2 em seus domínios, e buscando se reabilitar para manter chances de vaga
