New revelations surrounding Elon Musk‘s private life have once again pulled actress Amber Heard into the public conversation, reigniting speculation over the paternity of her first child, Oonagh Paige, born via surrogate in 2021.
A resurfaced 2022 legal declaration-never admitted in court-claims Musk and Heard were once embroiled in a legal dispute over embryos they allegedly created together, with Musk allegedly wanting them destroyed and Heard fighting to keep them.
The claims originated from Jennifer Howell, a close friend of Heard‘s sister Whitney and a former employer of Whitney herself. In her signed declaration, Howell alleged that Heard was “in a legal battle with [Musk] over embryos they had created together… He wanted to destroy them, and Amber tried to keep them to have a baby.”
While this declaration was ultimately excluded from the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard defamation trial, it has now resurfaced amid a broader exposé into Musk‘s growing, and increasingly complex, family life.
Musk and Heard dated sporadically between 2016 and 2018. Since then, Heard has remained largely silent on the identity of her daughter’s father. Now living in Madrid, Spain, the 38-year-old actress has emphasized her role as a single parent.
“I’m just the mom and the dad. She’s the boss,” she wrote in a 2021 Instagram post.
Musk’s expanding family and the secretive arrangements behind it
According to The Wall Street Journal, Musk-who is now believed to be the father of at least 14 children-has structured confidential financial agreements with several of the mothers of his children.
Among them is 26-year-old political influencer Ashley St. Clair, who alleges she was offered $15 million up front and a monthly payment of $100,000 to remain silent about her relationship with Musk and their son.
The report also names Musk‘s close associate Jared Birchall as his point man for handling the logistics of these arrangements. Birchall allegedly manages contract negotiations, emphasizing discretion as the top priority.
“We have dealt with some very unstable, mentally unstable, people,” St. Clair claims Birchall told her, adding that the $15 million offers come with strict terms.
In another incident, Musk allegedly proposed becoming a sperm donor for a high-profile Japanese woman-without any romantic attachment-telling St. Clair via text: “They want me to be a sperm donor. No romance or anything, just sperm.”
Cryptocurrency influencer Tiffany Fong was also reportedly approached by Musk after he discovered her account on X. He allegedly suggested having a child with her, despite never meeting in person. Fong turned him down, citing her desire for a traditional family.
The report suggests that Musk‘s desire to build a “legion” of children stems from his belief in repopulating Earth and creating a sustainable future.
“I mean, you know, you’ve got to walk the talk. So, I do have a lot of kids, and I encourage others to have lots of kids,” Musk said in 2024.
