WWE legend Stone Cold Steve Austin has finally closed the door on a return to the ring, making it clear that his final appearance at WrestleMania 32 against Kevin Owens was his final farewell as a wrestler.

The match marked his return to the ring after 19 years away and he put on a show for the crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

WWE fans line up to hit Logan Paul with chair in hilarious viral moment

The Rattlesnake has already said that he will not return to in-ring competition. He has the physique to fight one more time, but he does not seem very motivated to return to wrestling.

His last match against Kevin Owens lasted about 15 minutes. He was 57 years old at the time and gave it his all, throwing punches, using weapons like chairs and finishing with his classic stunner to defeat Owens. The crowd’s reaction was explosive and sealed an emotional end to his enormous career as a professional wrestler.

Stone Cold is adamant that he will not be returning

During a chat on The Pat McAfee Show, when asked about the possibility of a return to the ring, Austin responded without hesitation.

“I’m not thinking about it. I’ve moved on. The competitive side is still there, of course, but now I channel it into racing. I want to be the best at everything I do,” he said.

His answer goes beyond whether he wants to or not, as he believes it’s time for new superstars to make their mark in wrestling.

“This is the time for those in the ring. It’s for the new generation, for the men and women out there doing the work. I’ve been there,” said Steve Austin.

That said, he can do it physically, but it’s not something that’s on his mind right now.

“Don’t get me wrong, I can still kick ass. But I have no plans to go back to wrestling. These young guys need something to fight for. Stone Cold doesn’t need to kick anyone’s ass anymore…and that’s the honest truth because I’m saying it,” Stone Cold said emphatically.
