When Philadelphia Eagles star AJ Brown received an autographed jersey from legend Julian Edelman, his excitement was palpable.
And for good reason, as such a treasure is the dream of every fan of the former Patriot.
Video of Patrick Mahomes getting protective and a little jealous over Brittany Mahomes goes viral
AJ was a loyal New England Patriots fan growing up, and even though he now plays for Philadelphia, he makes no secret of his fanaticism. He recently shared a jersey signed by Tom Brady, so it seems Brown is not interested in what others think; he will continue to show his love for the Patriots.
That childhood dream almost came true in 2019, but unfortunately for him, the Patriots ultimately chose N’Keal Harry, while his destiny would later arrive with the Titans. It must have been a difficult moment for the kid in AJ who came so close to joining his dream team.
Julian Edelman, his big inspiration
Edelman has had an enviable career in the NFL. A true legend, he is considered one of the greatest playoff players in history. His ability to rise to the occasion in the most difficult moments is well remembered. He was never afraid to carry the team on his shoulders when the situation called for it.
AJ Brown is well aware of all of this and does not hide his excitement at receiving his jersey from the Patriots legend.
“It’s finally official. The wait is over. The wait is over, man,” Brown said in a clip he posted on Instagram. “Oh, man. The best Jules, man. Yes, sir, man. This is what I’m talking about, man.”
A hint of a possible arrival for Brown with the Patriots in the future?
The truth is, it shouldn’t surprise us at this point, it feels like it could happen, but the question is when?
Mike Vrabel is the coach who took a chance on him in Tennessee, so that could be the key to unlocking a potential move.
The excitement is palpable! Brown‘s arrival to the Patriots could be a perfect fit: his explosive talent fits the team’s winning mentality like a glove. The chemistry could flow very quickly, AJ dreams of coming to New England, and Patriots fans would welcome him with open arms.
